How do our doctors determine your prescription? By using a refraction test!

A refraction measures the refractive power of your eye, or how light is focused once it enters the eye. Our doctors use a phoropter (the funny machine you look through when the doctor asks “1 or 2?”) to place different lenses in front of the eye, changing how the light is focused. Once you are seeing clearly and everything is focused correctly, the doctor records that lens power and you have your new prescription!

Fall is just around the corner, which means we’re gearing up for our annual Giving Sight Day! 👓

Insight Eyecare is proud to participate in Giving Sight Day each year, where we donate eye exams and a complete pair of glasses to those in need.

Come to our Glenpool or Jenks location on Saturday, October 4th to receive a voucher for your appointment time. We will begin handing out vouchers at 8:30am, and they go quickly each year!

Oklahoma Medical Eye Group in Jenks will be participating in Giving Sight Day as well, by appointment only. Call 918-747-2020 and mention that you are scheduling a Giving Sight Day appointment to reserve your spot at their clinic!
