Kristen Cassidy earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from McNeese State University in 2010. After working for Family and Youth Counseling Agency in Lake Charles for over six years, Kristen started practicing in Jennings in May of 2014. Kristen provides services for a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, anger, developmental disabilities, behavior problems, post part

um depression, and many other challenges. No issue is too big or too small to address in counseling. Services are available for adults, children, and teenagers in both individual or family sessions.

Happy Pride month to everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. Pride month is a time to celebrate being authentic and not having to hide who you are, but it’s also a time for allies to remember to be kind and show compassion to all people. Even if you do not understand something or agree with it, you can be compassionate and respectful and make others feel safe and loved in your presence. If you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community and you are in need of mental health services and support, do not be afraid to ask your therapist or healthcare provider if their office is a safe space for you.
