I wrote the most awesome post…then incidentally deleted it…bc I’m healthcare; not a social media guru. Boo.
So some highlights of a masterpiece that has incidentally disappeared…
Eat real food!! (The kind that God gave ya! Now-days we call that more Paleo)
Stay clear of high fructose corn syrup-‘that ain’t natural’! Seriously tho….do u have fibromyalgia? Try cutting HFCS out of your diet & see how u feel 😉😎
If you’re eating canned things…I hope you canned it yourself (not from a factory) …& within 24 hrs of harvesting it (to preserve nutrients). Home canning is far better & cleaner than factory canned. Dear RFK….why you put that factory can on our new healthy guidelines?? 🤢
Omit aluminum….canned goods, Metamucil, pointy shaped hats & baked goods in foil…No bueno.
Eat more PROTEIN….that doesn’t mean 5 lbs a bacon a day. 🥓 remember…clean & lean! 🥩
Berries have a lower glycemic index & higher fiber in the fruit division….., as does brown rice in the section of carbohydrates!
White rice has a higher glycemic index😳👎🚫….pst….that means it coverts to sugar really easily in your body & will cause a blood sugar spike (cue the doomed ba-ba-ba 😣. Seriously… #1 cause of aging right there….it’ll also get ya closer to the dreaded type II….DIABETES…or Diabidus if your Wilford Brimley)
Ditch the pasta for zoodles. And go buy some quinoa & spinach to substitute a lot of these things. Quinoa even has a higher protein content!
Get rid of MSG
Go organic if you can
Don’t eat junk
Soda is the enemy ☠️
Diet soda too. Womp womp…you just traded the sugar for chemicals. Pick your poison.
Health fats ya’ll. No seed oils. Choose good oils like Butter, ghee, olive, avocado or coconut oils.
Eggs are good. Avocados are good. Coconut is good. Clean meat is good. (No meat glue/transglutaminase, dyes or nitrates)

And just for fun I threw in some some older government recommendations…including a massive amount of bread consumption-complete w a full helping of glyphosate…& the green light for refined sugars & alcohol. 🎉…..😐 (why is that even in there?!?) Anyone remember the 4 food groups? Guaranteed to cultivate inflammation that will show up to the party like your drunk uncle Eddy…..keep a watch out in your early 40s!😣
Seriously tho. We can do better & I think these guidelines are good but we need to teach more. Healthcare got away from that & I think it needs to make a strong come back in our practices.
