Our residents took part in our first-ever Polar Bear (Hand) Plunge by dipping their hands into icy cold water to welcome the New Year feeling refreshed! They even turned it into a friendly competition to see who could keep their hands in the water the longest. Our 1st and 2nd place winners were Denise & Helen!! Peacecarenj.org

Our residents had a wonderful Christmas with Santa! Santa made his rounds to the floors, spreading smiles and holiday cheer to our residents. A special thank you to Jeremy (Rehab Director), Chef Julian, and Noel from EVS for helping make the visits so special. Thank you as well to our wonderful elves, Reonna, Joanna, Micah, Ernestine, and Ambar, for assisting Santa at his workshop and delivering gifts.

December Happenings and Celebrations! Thank you to The Filipino Apostolate of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church in Scotch Plains, New Jersey for visiting our residents on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

The event was filled with singing, dancing and gift giving. The residents enjoyed tasting Filipino foods (some the first time).

The prayer shawls were created and prayed over by the Prayer Shawls Ministry of St. Bartholomew and Immaculate Heart of Mary Churches in Scotch Plains.

Thanks to our wonderful Activities Director, Mari and her team
for assisting the residents during transfers and during the event.

The Apostolate group had such a good experience that it may be an annual volunteering event for them.
