We are so excited to announce a research program that our owner Ceallaigh is doing with Dr. Yang of Jersey City Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, in collaboration with Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, at the Madeline Fiadini LoRe Infusion Center to support women undergoing breast cancer treatment. This has been quite some time in the making and we are so proud of her!
Cancer treatment impacts the whole person. Survival is increasing, and many people still face long-term effects that deserve support inside care settings—not only after treatment ends. This pilot is built to provide meaningful support during infusion and to learn from patient-reported outcomes focused on emotional well-being, physical comfort, and overall quality of life.
This work is designed to bring usion setting through gentle, consent-based practices that may include guided breathing, grounding touch, and somatic techniques—coordinated with the oncology nursing team to fit appropriately within clinical care.
This pilot is clinically guided by Dr. Rebecca Yang, implemented through one-hour infusion-setting interventions designed and delivered by Ceallaigh Lorenz as the sole interventionist, with outcomes evaluation led by Dr. Colleen Mills-Finnerty.
