Creating a calming corner in the classroom can make a huge difference for students who need a moment to regulate, reset, and refocus. At Jump Ahead Pediatrics, we collaborated with a school-based occupational therapist to share five calming corner activities that actually work in real classrooms. 🙌

From sensory tools to simple strategies that help children regulate their emotions, these ideas are designed to support both students and teachers. When students have the right tools, they’re better able to return to learning feeling calm and ready to succeed.

As we reflect on the past 10 years, it’s impossible not to feel incredibly grateful for every step of the journey. The wins, the challenges, the lessons, the growth… each moment has shaped who we are today.

Building something meaningful doesn’t happen overnight. It takes perseverance, learning through mistakes, celebrating small victories, and surrounding yourself with people who believe in the mission just as much as you do.

Over the years we’ve learned that success isn’t just measured in milestones, but the growth that happens along the way.
