Brownie was VERY excited for hydrotherapy 🤍✨

A lot of pets that don’t love bath time or water are actually surprisingly comfortable on the underwater treadmill! The water stays warm at around 90° and is usually filled to about knee height to help support their joints while they exercise. Add in lots of treats and encouragement throughout the session… and suddenly rehab becomes the best part of their day 🐾

Louis is on the move! 🐾

Diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), Louis has been working hard in rehab after his surgery- and today was a big milestone. He got fitted for his Walkin’ Wheels cart, giving him support to stay active and independent. Now Louis has the tools to assist with his favorite activity, walking around Central Park! 🌳☀️

Walkin wheels is like a person using a walker- it doesn’t slow you down, it helps keep you going. And that’s exactly what Louis is doing!

We’re so proud of you, Louis!

Patellar luxation occurs when the kneecap slips out of place, which can lead to discomfort, limping, or intermittent “skipping” in the back leg. While some pets may need surgery, many benefit greatly from physical therapy — especially in mild to moderate cases.

Physical therapy focuses on strengthening the muscles that support the knee, improving joint stability, and helping your pet move more comfortably. Techniques may include guided exercises, balance work, controlled activity, and other supportive therapies tailored to your pet’s needs.

Early intervention can make a big difference in slowing progression and keeping your pet active and happy. If you’ve noticed limping, skipping, or stiffness, we’re happy to help determine if physical therapy may be beneficial! Call us today at 201-499-1101🐶✨
