For decades, packaging design has been stuck in a frustrating paradox: to make something child-resistant, we had to make it nearly impossible for many adults to open.

Child-resistant shouldn’t mean adult-proof.

Everyday accessibility means rejecting that trade-off. SnapSlide proves that you can meet official child-resistant standards without sacrificing accessibility. By utilizing mechanics rather than excessive levels of force, we keep kids safe while keeping medication accessible for seniors and those with limited dexterity.

Most pill bottles rely on threads and bulky caps to stay closed. SnapSlide takes a different approach.

By removing the threads from the equation and utilizing our unique sliding mechanism, we use 27% less plastic than traditional Rx bottles. It’s a smarter design that saves weight and waste without sacrificing durability or safety.

Better for your hands, better for the planet. 🌍

There are an estimated 63 million caregivers in the U.S. alone. They manage appointments, meals, and often, the difficult task of dispensing medication for loved ones who can't do it themselves.

Inaccessible packaging doesn't just affect the patient; it increases the burden on the caregiver. SnapSlide aims to give autonomy back to the user, which in turn provides relief to the 'silent army' of caregivers supporting them. Accessibility supports the whole family unit.

In the 1930s, Joseph Friedman watched his young niece struggle to drink a milkshake from a straight paper straw. To help her, he inserted a screw, wrapped floss around it, and created the world’s first "bendy straw." 🥤

Originally designed to help patients drink while lying in bed, the bendy straw is now a staple in hospitals and restaurants everywhere.

Simple adjustments can solve big problems. That’s the SnapSlide philosophy: rethinking the standard design to make medication access easier for everyone.

Have you ever tried to open a prescription bottle while holding a crying baby? Or while on the phone? Or while nursing a sprained thumb?

Situational impairments happen to all of us.

This is why "everyday accessibility" isn't a niche concept. A design that functions with one hand, like SnapSlide, solves problems for the chronic user, the busy parent, and the injured athlete alike.

Accessibility is the ultimate form of preparedness.

SnapSlide Spotlight 🔦: Meet Bob from Pennsylvania!

Our friends at Allied Services, of Northeastern Pennsylvania, introduced us to Bob, who lost the use of his left hand due to a stroke. This made opening traditional pill bottles next to impossible. He would often go to his local coffee shop to ask for help, but with the introduction of SnapSlide, he can now access his medication independently! Plus, he no longer spills his pills while opening SnapSlide.

”I would love to see SnapSlide at my pharmacy.”

Special thanks to for connecting us with Bob!

Happy New Year!

In 2026, we’re rooting for less. Less struggle. Less frustration. Less friction in your daily routine.

When you strip away the barrier of a difficult bottle, you’re left with what actually matters: your health.

Here’s to a simpler, more accessible year ahead.

We often talk about accessibility for the user, but what about the caregiver?

When a home is filled with accessible tools, it shifts the dynamic from "dependency" to "independent." For a caregiver, seeing a loved one manage their own medication isn't just convenient—it provides peace of mind.

SnapSlide supports the user’s independence, which in turn lightens the mental load on those who care for them. It’s a win-win for the whole support system.

Ergonomic keyboards were designed to reduce strain for users with repetitive stress injuries or motor impairments. Now, they’re everywhere—helping prevent injuries before they start.

SnapSlide follows that same logic: design that protects, empowers, and improves daily function—for everyone.

For those living with chronic pain or fatigue, energy is a limited resource. Every struggle—a heavy door, a tight jar, a difficult pill bottle—drains that battery.

Accessible design isn’t just about physical capability; it’s about energy conservation. By removing the physical struggle from medication adherence, SnapSlide helps preserve energy for the things that matter to you!

So save your strength for the good stuff.

🔦 SnapSlide Spotlight: Meet Margie from Pennsylvania!
Margie is 103 years old, and she had learned to live with a painful trade-off: packaging that kept kids safe also kept her from her own medicine.

SnapSlide rewrote that story. It’s the only package she’s used that remains child-resistant yet finally lets her open her prescriptions independently.

This is the heart of our work: designing packaging that is child-resistant and also preserves dignity—for Margie, for millions like her, for everyone.
