💙 Happy National Father-in-Law Day! 💙
Today, we’re honoring the incredible men who stepped into the role of father-in-law and became so much more — mentors, friends, and father figures who’ve left an unforgettable mark on our lives. We wanted to share a few stories that show just how special these relationships can be:
👴 Phil Viviani
His daughter-in-law shared:
“The first time I met my future father-in-law, he was sipping Salty Dogs on the deck with his buddy. We dove right into politics, SEC football, and Italian food. I held my own in most of the convo, but clearly had room to grow in the Italian cooking department! Still, my first attempt at spaghetti and olives earned me the title of ‘favorite daughter-in-law’ — a badge I wear proudly.” 💕
👴 Johnny Noble
His family reflects:
“On our wedding day, he told me he loved me like a daughter—and he’s lived that out every day since. He was always there for birthdays, ballgames, and quiet moments too. He wasn’t loud, but he was dependable, and always made sure to clean his bowl spotless after his favorite meal. His love was steady and strong.” – Michelle
“Daddy was a rock in my life. He taught me how to shoot a free throw, change a tire, and drive a stick shift. I remember waking up to him reading his Bible, and the way he cared for Mama when she was sick—learning to cook and clean just for her. After she passed, he became even more selfless. He welcomed every visitor with snacks and a meal, always making us feel loved. I’m so thankful he’s my Daddy.” – Dede
👴 Kline Tootle
His daughter-in-law shared:
“Before he moved to At Home, we saw each other nearly every day. On the days we didn’t, he’d call just to check in and remind us how much he loved us. He’s the kind of man who gives without ever asking for anything in return. One of my favorite memories is when he’d take Ada Faye to Dairy Queen after school—simple, sweet moments that meant the world. His kindness is still felt, even though his daily presence at the farm is missed.”
