Today was one of those moments that reminds you just how special our community truly is.

We had the distinct honor of welcoming Wayne County Administrator, Mr. Paul Drawdy, Mayor Ralph Hickox, and his wife, Jamie Hickox, to our community for lunch with Wayne County’s first County Administrator , Mr. Calvin Hayes.

To witness leadership from the past and present sitting at the same table was powerful in itself. But what made the moment even more extraordinary was when Mr. Drawdy presented Mr. Hayes with the original meeting minutes from his time serving our county in 1963. Those pages weren’t just documents — they were pieces of history. They were proof of vision, dedication, and the foundation that helped shape Wayne County into what it is today.

There is something incredibly moving about seeing a legacy honored while the author of that legacy is still here to receive it. It was history right before our eyes — a full circle moment of gratitude, leadership, and respect.

We are so thankful to Mr. Drawdy, Mayor Ralph Hickox, and Jamie for taking the time to honor Mr. Hayes in such an intentional and meaningful way. Today was more than a lunch — it was a celebration of legacy, service, and the heart of Wayne County.

We were honored to welcome a very special guest, Mr. Ward Riggins, who joined our residents to share his knowledge of history — more specifically, the history of their families.

Mr. Riggins spoke with our residents about how to begin creating a family tree, helping them think through generations of parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His goal is to help our residents build something truly meaningful — a keepsake their families can treasure for years to come.

What a beautiful gift to leave behind… stories, names, connections, and the legacy of a life well lived.

Our residents were engaged, reflective, and excited about the opportunity to create something special for their grandchildren and future generations.

At At Home, we believe preserving memories and honoring family history is one of the greatest ways to celebrate the lives of those we serve.

We look forward to seeing these family trees grow!

Five years ago this week, we took a leap of faith and opened our doors… and in doing so, we opened our hearts to our very first residents, Mr. Chuck and Mrs. MaryAnn Anderson🤍

What began as a dream has become a home filled with love, laughter, stories, tears, growth, and countless beautiful moments. Over the last five years, we have been blessed beyond measure to be entrusted with the care of so many incredible residents and the families who love them. That trust is something we hold sacred.

Every smile, every hand held, every conversation, and every goodbye has shaped who we are. We don’t just provide care — we build relationships, we create family, and we love with our whole hearts.

As we continue to grow, our commitment remains unwavering: to serve with compassion, to lead with dignity, and to love without limits.

Here’s to five years of memories… and to many more lives we will have the privilege to “get to love.”

Today marked Day 3 of our Annual Leadership Boot Camp, and our hearts are so full.

This boot camp is so much more than planning—it’s about casting vision for the year ahead and laying a clear, intentional path toward what we hope to achieve. We dig deep, ask hard questions, and build a strong foundation rooted in growth, compassion, and true unity—for our team, our residents, our families, and our entire community.

Today held an especially meaningful moment for us. We were so graciously and warmly welcomed into the home of George and Debbie Moxley. George, the founder of Moxley Ministries, and Debbie opened their hearts and their home to our leadership team in the most beautiful way. They covered us in prayer, poured into us spiritually, and treated us to an incredible breakfast and lunch spread.

There truly aren’t enough words to express how thankful we are. The love, hospitality, and intentionality they showed us was deeply moving and something we will carry with us.

And yes… today was also our PJ & Plan Day 💤📋 — cozy clothes, big dreams, and powerful conversations. The amount of clarity, alignment, understanding, and vision we walked away with is beyond exciting. We feel energized, focused, and more committed than ever to the mission ahead.

Grateful. Inspired. Ready. 💙
