As we come to the close of Hospice Appreciation Week, I want to take a moment to reflect on what this week truly represents. It is more than a series of events, more than a few days set aside on the calendar—it is a celebration of compassion, dignity, and the extraordinary people who make hospice care what it is.

Each of you—nurses, CNAs, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, administrative staff, and every person who supports our mission—plays a profound role in the lives of patients and families. You walk beside people in some of their most vulnerable moments. You offer comfort when words fall short. You bring peace when days are heavy. And you remind families that they are not alone.

This week was our chance to shine a light on your dedication, but the truth is, your impact lasts far beyond these few days. The gratitude felt by the families you serve extends across lifetimes. The kindness you show becomes part of their story. And the strength you bring becomes a source of hope when it’s needed most.

Thank you for your compassion.

Our winner today is our funny and talented Social worker Donna Wells!! Social workers in hospice care make a significant impact, and their work goes beyond the ordinary. Our winner for day 2 goes to our sweet CNA Adasha Thomas! She took on the battle and guessed the right color❤️

God said, "I need somebody willing to comfort, care and hold their hand in times of need, and if no one is there for them, do the same while they lay there dying at the end. I need somebody who can comfort their family members with a hug, and tell them their love one will be missed, while not letting them see you dry your eyes.
So God made a CNA, and how we love our CNAs!
