Thank you to all those who have come before us and fought to change the status quo. May we all link arms and stand together in the name of a more loving and compassionate world for all humans. Here's to ushering in a future where our daughters rise higher than the shattered glass ceilings of the past, and all humans have equality, hope, and a chance.

My day celebrating Women's History Month by reading to the extraordinary students at Martha Rawls Smith and soaking in their magnificant chorus and dance performances left no doubt that our future is in good hands. Hands where every human is equal. Hands that pull all humans forward. Hands that want to positively impact humanity.

Thank you to each staff member at MRSE for such an incredible day. Each thoughtful detail was appreciated. Most of all, thank you for pouring into the next generation. You all definitely 'get it'! Your students were kind, well-mannered, well-spoken, and all-around beacons of light. Thank you for making me strive to do and be more through your actions. YOU ARE THE BEST OF US!!!

Amazing how fast time flies by, twenty one years ago today, the world lost its most important neighbor of all. Fred Rogers passed away from cancer, he was only 74. Let’s be sure to keep Mr. Rogers legacy alive by simply being kind to one another. ❤️

Then somebody would get up and say some poems or as my teacher said, 'render some renditions.' And that was the end of it. And then we got Black History Week and then Black History Month." We celebrate the rich tapestry of our heritage this and always.
