Jewell Family Dentistry and Orthodontics is excited to announce that we will be adding Tuesdays to our regular business days to accommodate increasing patient volume! Tuesdays will be staffed by a new face– Dr. Mitchell Murphy, who has worked with Dr. Dan Scarrow at the Eldora office since December of 2022. He will continue to work in Eldora the rest of the week but is going to service the Jewell office and patients on Tuesdays.
Dr. Murphy is originally from Williams, IA and graduated from Northeast Hamilton. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy where he met his wife, Nancy, from San Antonio, TX. After his military service, he attended dental school at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. He and Nancy and their son, Raylan, moved back to the area in 2022, and Dr. Murphy began working at Eldora Family Dentistry and Orthodontics.
Dr. Murphy believes that one of the most important aspects of dentistry is providing an environment that is calm, compassionate, and comfortable. He is committed to providing a personalized experience where he will be receptive to all concerns and desires in order to provide a pleasant oral health care experience. Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and cheering for the Hawkeyes.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Dr. Murphy to the Jewell office. If you would like to schedule an appointment with him, he will be in Jewell on Tuesdays.
