A randomized clinical trial published in *Stress and Health* evaluated 69 adult women with functional hypercortisolemia (chronically elevated cortisol not due to adrenal disease) to assess whether vitamin C could lower stress hormones.

Participants were grouped based on hormone profiles and randomly assigned to receive 1000 mg of vitamin C daily or no supplementation for 2 months.

After 8 weeks, women taking vitamin C showed significant reductions in cortisol — in one subgroup dropping from about 780 nmol/L to 446 nmol/L (~43%) — along with decreases in DHEA-S where elevated, while control groups showed no meaningful hormonal changes.

Joaquin Fan Bus Information
Tickets will be sold to adults only. Any Joaquin ISD student must be accompanied by an adult on the bus and at the game. All riders must present a ticket. Tickets will be sold during normal business hours at the administration office (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) with the deadline to purchase being Thursday (12/11) at 11:00 a.m.
