I had an epiphany today while scrolling through Facebook.🤷🏽‍♀️

As I sat there thinking, I realized I personally know — or have mutual connections with — at least four women who have been impacted by cancer in some way. Some are still actively fighting. Some are still taking medication. Some are navigating life after treatment.

And it made me think about something important…

We always talk about people being a resource, but sometimes we forget to look right at the circle already in front of us.

With over 7 years of experience working with women experiencing hair loss, and working with cancer clients, I wanted to make sure people knew that I could be a resource — not only for them, but for friends, family members, coworkers, or anyone navigating hair loss from:
• cancer treatments
• alopecia
• PCOS
• medications
• stress-related conditions

Many women don’t realize that certain wigs, cranial prosthesis, and hair replacement solutions may qualify through insurance reimbursement, HSA, or FSA benefits.

So I simply wanted to share this information in case it helps someone connected to me… or connected to you. 💜

After the video I shared this week a-lot of you reached out.

So let me show you what this work actually looks like.
This tool is a scalp microscope. It shows me what the naked eye cannot see — inflammation, early alopecia, scalp conditions that if caught in time can change the trajectory of a client's hair loss.

I became a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner because of my sister. But I stay certified because of every client who sits in my chair going through something similar.
Most stylists never go this deep. But our clients deserve someone who does.

This is my sister…

She battled CCCA, a form of alopecia, for years.
And as a cosmetologist, not being able to fully help her… didn’t sit right with me.

So I did something about it.

I became someone who could.

This is my why.
And it’s the reason I now teach other stylists how to serve clients going through exactly what she went through and how to have their wigs covered by insurance.

Because somewhere right now…
there’s a woman sitting in someone’s chair navigating this alone.

And she deserves someone who’s prepared.
