Join FOCUS Teens and Youngs Adults for the Give Back and Chill Event!

Give Back & Chill: The Ice Cream Experiment
📅When: Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 10am-12pm
📍Where: Embry Hills UMC | 3304 Henderson Mill Rd, Atlanta
📓What to Expect: TYAs will learn about ways to give back to their community and then wrap up the morning with a science experiment.

Eligibility
• Have lifelong developmental and/or physical disabilities. Some common diagnoses include but are not limited to cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, spina bifida, degenerative illnesses, and rare genetic syndromes.
• FOCUS Kid must be between ages 14 and 29
• Willing to stay safe with a group and function in a 1:8 caregiver to participant ratio.
• Stay with the group in a public place, with gentle reminders
• Not need medical care that requires a nurse
• Not need help toileting during a 2-hour period

Other Info
• Registration is required for all childcare programs. We do not accept walk-ins.
• A large majority of TYA events are free, if any events require payment they are often at a discounted rate.
• Cancelation Policy: FOCUS will refund your event fee minus the deposit fee for all cancellations made two weeks before the event date. Any cancellation within two weeks of the event date will not receive a refund.
• Caregivers welcome, but parents can come if absolutely necessary!
• If your teen/young adult requires more interaction to engage, you may attend or send a personal caregiver to assist. We’ve learned that ‘hanging out’ is sometimes difficult for our teens / young adults and we might need your help!
