The school year is ending, but planning for next year starts now.

If your child has medical needs or a disability, not every school or daycare is prepared to support them. Ask the right questions and make sure the support is truly there.

As this school year wraps up, take a moment to think about next year.

For children with medical needs, the right environment matters. Not all programs offer the same level of support, so it is worth taking a closer look now.

End of the school year is here.

If you are considering a new school or daycare for a child with medical needs, do not assume. Ask how they support your child day to day.

The resources listed are provided by independent organizations and are not affiliated with FOCUS. We share these opportunities to support families in exploring potential avenues of assistance, but we encourage…

There’s something special about seeing NICU graduates back together, stronger, bigger, and thriving.

The Miracle Babies Party at the Zoo is back on April 25, and it is always one of the most meaningful nights of the year for families who have been through the NICU journey.

From tiny beginnings to big milestones, this night is about celebrating how far these babies have come.

Join the Miracle Baby Alumni Club and birthday celebration at the Ford Pavilion, right next to Nourish Café. Animal exhibits will be open until 8 PM, weather permitting.

If your family has been part of the NICU journey, this is a night you don’t want to miss.

Meet Judah 🤍

He’s 2 years old, full of joy, and has a huge sweet spirit… but he needs our help.

Over the past year, Judah has been losing his vision.

Last week, his family got heartbreaking news: he has a rare genetic condition that’s causing his vision loss... and without treatment, it could be fatal.

The only cure? A bone marrow transplant.

Finding a match is tricky. Judah is mixed ethnicity: half White, half Thai/Chinese, so the best chance for a full match comes from someone with a similar background.

That’s where you might come in.

Getting tested is simple and can be done from home.

They mail a quick cheek swab kit, and you send it back.

If you’re a match and choose to donate, the process is safe and similar to giving blood.

Medication helps release the stem cells, which are collected, and the rest of your blood goes right back to you.

Judah’s parents are praying for a miracle, and hoping that miracle could come from someone reading this today. 💛

Even a share could make a difference.

You could be the one who saves Judah.

FOCUS is hosting another valuable event for parents! This one is virtual, so you can join from the comfort of home no travel needed.

This workshop with Jordan is going to be especially impactful because, let’s be honest, we all deal with picky eaters. Don’t miss it register today!

FOCUS Parent Workshops Presents: Why meltdowns happen during meals for picky eaters and how to STOP them

📆April 1, 2026 | 1 pm | via Zoom
Register: https://focus-ga.org/events/

📒In this presentation, we will discuss a fun holistic approach to helping our picky/selective eaters from a feeding therapist based out of John’s Creek Georgia. Jordan Signorelli, OTR/L, will break down some of the most common triggers leading to meltdowns at mealtime, provide realistic solutions to help parents identify red flags before meltdowns happen to avoid them and teach tricks to encourage eating. Jordan’s experience with his own children’s picky eating and ARFID led him to change his career path from working with adults to becoming a pediatric occupational therapist. He now helps parents like him feel more comfortable and confident helping their kids using the Parents Play Book for picky eating (based on the SOS approach) and the first-ever Mealtime Card Game and App based support for kids and parents make meals more fun.

Parent Workshops are held through Zoom. Participants will stay muted until Q&A at the end of the presentation. These Workshops are educational workshops for parents of children with disabilities. Recordings will be available on our “Recorded Workshops" page within the week.
