ETSU officials announced Sunday afternoon that the university will be canceling classes through Wednesday, due to the effects of Hurricane Helene in the region.

Due to the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, all counseling sessions at our clinic are canceled for the rest of the week. We recognize that Thursday’s sessions were already canceled in advance, and we want to emphasize that our thoughts are with everyone affected during this difficult time.

Our hearts go out to all those impacted and displaced by Hurricane Helene. During this time of upheaval and uncertainty, we hold space for those facing loss, disruption, and the challenges of rebuilding their lives. We stand in solidarity with the communities affected, offering our support and hoping for their safety, strength, and resilience as they navigate this difficult journey.

In observance of Juneteenth, both the CCC and ETSU will be closed on June 19th. This important holiday commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrates freedom and African American culture. We encourage everyone to take this day to reflect, learn, and celebrate this significant moment in our history.

Regular hours and operations will resume on June 20th. Thank you for your understanding and have a meaningful Juneteenth!

While we can’t provide 24-hour emergency services, inpatient care, or court-ordered services, we are dedicated to helping our community with care and compassion. We are a training clinic located on ETSU’s main campus providing FREE counseling to our community. Our counselors in training are working towards their master’s degree in counseling and receive ongoing supervision.
