Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day. And we just want to say, we see you. 🤍

The mom who is holding it together on the outside but barely hanging on inside. The one who loves her baby and also grieves the version of herself she hasn’t been able to find lately. The one lying awake at 2 am wondering if this is just what life feels like now.

You’re not broken. You’re not failing. You’re in the middle of one of the hardest things a human body and heart can go through, and you might not have been prepared for how much it would ask of you.

The physical and emotional parts of postpartum healing aren’t separate. Hormonal shifts, nervous system dysregulation, and symptoms like pain, leaking, or pressure are your body trying to tell you something, and it’s not always just physical. The mental and emotional weight you’re carrying is just as real and just as worthy of a support system that understands that.

We take the whole picture seriously. Not just what’s happening in your body, but what’s happening in your mind and in your life. When the support you need goes beyond what we can offer, we help you find it. You shouldn’t have to figure it all out alone.

😴 Sleeping through the night, after years of getting up 7+ times to use the bathroom
💪🏼 Back to work duties that chronic pelvic pain had taken off the table for years
🎢 A full day at Dollywood with the kids, prolapse and all, not a single flare
🤰 Postpartum rehab wrapped up completely symptom free, already thinking about baby number 2

Your pelvic floor doesn’t work in isolation, and neither do we. 🌿

Last Friday, our team spent the afternoon learning from registered dietitian and functional nutrition expert Calle Fulton, RD, LDN of Renourished Co. Functional Nutrition, and it was one of those trainings that genuinely shifts how you see your patients.

Calle walked us through the powerful connection between the gut, the nervous system, and pelvic health, and how dysfunction in one area can be quietly driving symptoms in another.

We dove into:
🔹 How the nervous system, gut, and hormones interact and why it matters for the conditions we treat
🔹 Recognizing when gut and digestive issues are at the root of our patient’s symptoms
🔹 How these patterns show up in constipation, IBS, bladder pain, menstrual issues, and joint hypermobility
🔹 Specialized lab testing that helps uncover what’s driving symptoms, and when to refer out to specialists

This is exactly why we invest in continuing education beyond our own specialty... because our patients deserve a team that looks at the whole picture, not just one piece of it.
