⚠️ ATTENTION: Help Protect Your Healthcare Options

New legislation being considered in Tennessee could impact access to local cardiac care.

House Bill 0819 and Senate Bill 1369 include a provision that would require cardiac catheterization labs to be affiliated with a hospital in order to operate.

If this provision passes, it could eliminate independent, free-standing cardiac cath labs in Tennessee.

Facilities like Karing Hearts Cardiac Cath Lab in Johnson City could be directly affected, potentially reducing access to important cardiac services for patients across our region.

This could mean for patients:

• Fewer choices for where patients can receive cardiac procedures
• Increased travel for care, especially in rural communities
• Higher healthcare costs

♥️Who We Are Wednesday ♥️
Meet Hannah Freeman, one of our Heart Care Coordinators (HCC) at Karing Hearts Cardiology. Hannah has been part of the KHC team for almost two years, and she’s known for bringing both heart and humor into everything she does.
One of her favorite memories at Karing Hearts is celebrating together at our Christmas parties — moments that reflect the strong sense of connection and teamwork within our office. Hannah describes herself as a bit of a free comedian, always caring for and looking out for others, both inside and outside of work.
When she’s not at the office, Hannah loves spending time with her spouse and children, making memories through new family adventures. And when it comes to food, you can almost always count on her choosing a good Mexican restaurant.
We’re grateful for the energy, compassion, and positivity Hannah brings to our patients and our team every day. 💙
