Meet our RFA team! 👏

Luckily, most thyroid nodules are benign and do not need surgical removal. However, some thyroid nodules are associated with progressive growth which may result in compressive symptoms and cosmetic complications that might require thyroid surgery.

Radio-frequency ablation (RFA) is the latest non-surgical alternative treatment for benign thyroid nodules with minimal side effects and complications. As a result of this procedure, 50-80% of the nodule size will shrink over the course of 6-12 months. It can preserve thyroid functions and avoid the need for thyroid replacement medications.

Outpatient Cytopathology Center is looking to hire a medical transcriptionist to help with routine daily dictations. The position is on-site in a busy friendly independent medical office. Ability to learn basic EHR software and medical terminology is required. Attention to detail is needed. There will be interaction with the physicians and other employees.
It’s part time with potential for full time.Must be fully vaccinated or be willing to be vaccinated for Covid-19.

A Successful Ethanol Ablation of a benign thyroid cystic nodule at our center.

Today OCC celebrates thirty years anniversary. Outpatient Cytopathology Center (OCC) was founded in 1991 by Dr. Susan Rollins . It was a dream come true to grow and expand over the years. For 30 years , OCC has provided expert personalized care to our patients, providers and community. OCC is one of the first independent FNA practices established in the United States. OCC is dedicated to perform and give immediate interpertion for ultrasound guided FNA. OCC provides diagnostic ultrasound scan evaluation for thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland and cervical lymph node mapping. Over the years additional interventional services such as alcohol ablation and RFA procedures have been added.
