12/01/2025
The time has come after many wonderful and rewarding years to say thank you and goodbye. On 12/31 I will be retiring. What had started years ago as two very different people feeling each other out, wondering whether it would all work out, has turned into an amazing family of too many to name.
To the patients who treated me with such kindness throughout the years I say thank you. I will genuinely miss you. To those who wanted me at their deliveries I want you to know what an honor it was. To the one who named their precious little one after me and allowed me to hold her even before you did I have no words. Watching all of your children and grandchildren grow up has given me great joy. You helped to turn a career into an extended family. I have laughed with you, I have cried with you, and I will miss all of you.
To all of my coworkers throughout the years I thank you. It’s not always easy to make work fun but each of you found a way to make work seem like play. In a small office it takes special people to make a work environment a happy place. You did that.
To Tori and Nicole thank you for being sounding boards and keeping me grounded. Whenever I had a bad day you made it infinitely better. I’ve learned so much from you. We have grown in so many ways together and it’s been wonderful. I suspect you won’t miss me pestering you daily but I will certainly miss pestering you.
To Jess Leuci, you are the glue behind the scenes that keeps us all going. From the very beginning you treated me as a member of your family including me in all life cycle events. Not because you had to but because that is who you are to your core. Your kindness knows no bounds. I’m so fortunate to have you in my life.
Last but not least Dr. Leuci. There really is no way to thank you nor any way to really say goodbye. I remember clearly the moment that you walked into Dr Prasads office. My first thought was “Is this guy old enough to have finished residency?” That fateful day, however, changed the trajectory of my life. You made our workplace something very special. All those years ago you had a vision of what you wanted to create and took me along for the ride. I couldn’t be any more grateful. All these years later I’m still in awe of your surgical skills. Testimonials be damned you are the best in town. Your honesty and integrity are unparalleled.
I love how once you become a member of the GBOBGYN family, no matter where life takes you, you make certain that everyone remains a member of the family. I know throughout this I have used the word family and not without purpose and real meaning. It is the atmosphere that you’ve fostered. There are not enough ways to thank you so I’ll stop here because we both know that we hate reading anything too wordy. Domm most of all I will miss seeing you daily,
From the bottom of my heart I say thank you. It’s been my absolute pleasure.
With Love and Gratitude,
Monica
