Early detection and management of glaucoma are crucial, as it often progresses without noticeable symptoms until later stages.

On this World Glaucoma Day, an easy way you can raise awareness for glaucoma is to open the conversation with family members. Many people have no idea whether their parents have glaucoma or other eye disorders.

To schedule a comprehensive eye exam, call Ophthalmology: (423) 439-7201.

We are deeply committed to our mission in academic medicine. Our faculty physicians collaborate closely with the next generation of leaders — our residents and fellows.

Today, we extend our sincere gratitude to our residents and fellows for the invaluable support and mentorship they provide to our medical students. Here are some comments from our medical students about how residents and fellows make a difference in their education.

Another amazing event in the books – pun intended. 📚 Here’s some of the wonderful moments we captured at our recent Read with a Doc event at BPL Children's Library.

The event, which was open to the community, centered on helping children learn through fun, interactive play, included a teddy bear clinic, where kids got to play doctor, helping them feel more confident about doctor visits through hands-on learning and fun. Learning healthy habits at an early age helps set the foundation for a lifetime of wellness.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
