Women — especially moms — are often the first to sacrifice their own needs for everyone around them. But constantly pouring from an empty cup isn’t sustainable.
Just like the oxygen mask analogy on an airplane, taking care of yourself first isn’t selfish… it’s one of the most loving and responsible things you can do for the people who count on you. When you feel healthier, rested, supported, and cared for, everyone around you benefits too.
So let’s encourage each other a little today:
What’s one way you take care of yourself well?
(Maybe someone reading this post will be inspired or get an idea of something they can do for themselves)
And what’s one area where you’d like to improve?
No perfection needed. Just honesty and encouragement. 💛
This was a Mother’s Day walk with my granddaughter a few years ago. I’ve been more committed to my health decisions because I want to have good quality of life so that I can be an active participant in her life for as long as possible. ❤️
