Before you come for me, please understand that when I speak about sleep training, I do not mean extreme methods that have you leaving your baby crying it out to exhaustion without addressing their needs.

I’m speaking of developmentally appropriate methods of encouraging your child to sleep independently.

Appropriate response time is different during different stages of development and is too much information for one reel.

I encourage you to talk to your pediatrician and do some research (from reputable sources). I will continue to provide resources here but short form videos should not be your only source of information.

If you’d like to chat more, I have a few spaces opening up for parent coaching. This can be just one session to ask some questions or multiple sessions to dive deeper.

Schedule a free intro call at my link in bio and let’s see if it’s a good fit!

When was the last time you told your child to turn off the tablet… and they didn’t start acting like a rabid animal?

If you can’t remember, you’re not alone.

So many parents I talk to feel stuck between:👉 avoiding it to keep the peace👉 or dealing with a full meltdown

We’re working with a different type of screen time these days - designed to keep your kid watching and making them want it - even feeling like they NEED it - all the time.

Screens have changed—and without a plan, trying to cut back usually makes things harder.

As a licensed clinical child therapist, I am seeing these issues over and over again in my practice.

That’s why I created Breaking the Screen-Cycle

In this live, 4-week workshop, I’ll help you👇🏻

🔥Understand where your child’s current relationship is with screens

📺 Create a realistic (not 100% screen free) plan for your specific family’s needs

😮‍💨Learn how to navigate all the reasons we haven’t made a change before:

🌪️tantrums only getting worse
🤦🏻‍♀️limits slipping “just this time”
🫩starting a change only to give in from
exhaustion

I would love to have you join us! This is a SMALL group so you can have the specific support you need. Leave me a comment and I’ll send you the link!

You’ve tried it all. It just got worse.

And if you’re being honest? You have way too much going on to tackle the meltdowns that come from removing screens.

As an early childhood therapist, I am seeing more and more kids coming through my practice with increased behaviors around screens.

And it makes sense why:

Screen time isn’t what it used to be.

What once was a moment to take a break and then go back to playing, is not content and apps that are specifically designed to keep your kids on, wanting more, and unable to get off.

Your child can have healthier relationships with screens - without becoming a screen-free household.

What’s your favorite movie/show to watch together with your kids?

So many moms feel extremely guilty about screens - and it shouldn’t be that way!

Not all screen content is created equal and screen time can be a great bonding time with you and your kid.

Are you both having a good time? Is your child able to transition to the next thing when it’s over without a massive exploding tantrum? Great!

If your wondering how to even tell if screens are working well in your home, I created a freebie Screen Time Check-In to get a better idea of where you’re at and what tiny tweaks can be made if needed.

Leave me a comment and I’ll send it your way - and share this with your mom friend that’s feeling the same guilt.

How can you try to tackle screen time use when it’s the only thing making the tantrums stop?

You’ve tried to make changes and the meltdowns just got bigger.

📲Comment SCREENS and I will send you my free check-in!

I created this guide to give you an idea of how healthy screen use is in your specific home, with your specific child.

It’s not about the number of hours or what other people are doing…

It’s about your child’s reaction to turning it off, the type of content they’re viewing, and their ability to still do all the real-world things kids should be doing.

Think about it like the Cosmo quizzes you took in high school (aging myself?). This isn’t meant to be anything formal, just to give you a general idea of where you are.

If you see this and think: I don’t need a check-in to tell me we have issues…

Don’t worry, I got you.

🔄 I’ve created a 4-week parent workshop: Breaking the Screen Cycle.
