The Rainbow Thrift Shoppe will be closed on National Thrift Store Day (Sunday, August 17). However, there are plenty of reasons to visit us this week! We are having a summer inventory clearance sale, and new items are being added daily. Stop by to find amazing deals and uncover hidden treasures!

Our hours for the rest of the week are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and we will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We look forward to seeing you!

Rainbow Community Care is wrapping up its food drive at the end of this week to benefit area veterans!

You still have some time to drop off nonperishable food items at several Rainbow locations:
- Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center (1225 Remmel Drive, Johnson Creek)
- Our Jefferson Office (147 W. Rockwell Street, Jefferson)
- Rainbow Thrift Shoppe (905 Madison Avenue, Fort Atkinson)

Every contribution makes a difference! Blue totes will be available near the entrance of each location for you to place your items. Thank you for your support in helping veterans and their families in our community who are in need!

To increase awareness of palliative care in our communities, Kurt Kuss a professional videographer from Waukesha, has graciously volunteered his time to collaborate with Rainbow Community Care. He is producing an educational video that explains what palliative care is and how it can benefit patients and their families.

Rainbow Community Care is getting ready to host their 9th Annual Ethics & Boundaries Workshop. We are excited to welcome Jaime Goldberg, PhD, MSW, LCSW as our presenter.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm at the Country Inn & Suites in Fort Atkinson, WI.

Stay tuned for registration details in the coming weeks. There will be an in-person and virtual option available.

PremierBank raises funds for community organizations through its "Friday Jeans Day" program. As part of the "Casual for a Cause - Pay to Wear Jeans" event, the bank collects donations, and each of its nine branches selects a charity to benefit from the contributions. In July, the Johnson Creek branch had the opportunity to choose an organization to receive their Jeans Day donations, and they decided to support Rainbow Community Care!

Carol Brown, President & CEO of Rainbow Community Care, along with Michelle Smith, Director of Human Resources, recently received a $675 check from Rochelle Mitchell, PremierBank's VP of Community Relations and Business Development. Rochelle was accompanied by her colleagues Tracy, Leti, Tom, Tricia, and Wanda during the presentation.

Join Rainbow Community Care in celebrating the fourth annual outdoor brick dedication ceremony.

The ceremony is set to take place Thursday, August 21st in the Brick Memorial Garden at the Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.

Doors will open at 4:30 pm with the dedication beginning at 5:30 pm.

Music entertainment and light refreshments will be available.

ORBIS Corporation is hosting a Brat Stand Fundraiser this Saturday, August 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pernat's Premium Meats in Johnson Creek.

We hope you'll stop by and grab a delicious brat, burger, and sweet treat. All proceeds will benefit Rainbow Community Care!

In 1925, a new car could be purchased for around $525, gasoline cost between 20 and 30 cents a gallon, and a movie ticket was just 15 cents. That was also the year Rainbow patient Joyce Rodgers was born.

Joyce celebrated a significant milestone—her 100th birthday—on Wednesday, July 23. The celebration began when she was featured on WMTV-NBC 15's morning show.

Joyce resides at the Autumn Winds Assisted Living Facility in Cambridge, where she is the oldest living resident. She was thrilled when Rainbow social worker Leslie Anderson and nurse Amanda Raduege visited to celebrate her birthday with a small party.

Leslie collected over 90 cards from other Rainbow staff members to present to Joyce. She was absolutely amazed by this thoughtful gesture and initially couldn’t believe the cards were actually "real." Joyce has a special fondness for pineapple upside-down cake, and Amanda surprised Joyce and her guests with two cakes on her special day!
