In a beautiful garden, every brick tells a story. For sisters Sommer Horford, Nicole Piper, and Taylor Piper, a new brick in the Rainbow Memorial Garden represents more than just a name—it’s a symbol of hope born from profound loss.

After their parents died within six months of each other, a selfless scholarship from Dennis Dick allowed them to create a tribute that brings comfort and honors a lifetime of memories. Discover their powerful journey of finding solace through community and kindness.

Navigating grief can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone.

Rainbow Community Care and Spero Heritage Homes invite you to a safe and compassionate space to find guidance and support. Their drop-in grief support group offers a chance to share your experiences and connect with others on a similar journey.

The group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, with the next session on Thursday, September 25, at 1:30 p.m. It is held at Spero Heritage Independent Living Apartments (700 Welsh Rd., Watertown) and facilitated by Rainbow Bereavement Educator Terry Hein.

Please share this with a friend or family member who might need support. For any questions, contact us at (920) 674-6255.

Music truly connects us all! That was clear last week when our Liaisons, Dana Traynere, RN, and Britanie Peaslee, joined Fairhaven's Community Drum Circle. It was heartwarming to watch everyone light up while celebrating everything from a Lithuanian wedding song to Hispanic Heritage Month through the power of rhythm.

We're so grateful to Fairhaven Senior Services for being such an amazing community partner. Moments of pure joy and connection like these are why we love what we do. Our team had a wonderful time representing Rainbow Community Care and looks forward to more opportunities to celebrate with the community.

"Field of Dreams" refers to the baseball field built by Ray Kinsella in the iconic 1989 film starring Kevin Costner, which symbolizes the belief that some dreams - even those that might seem out of reach - are worth pursuing because they can lead to personal fulfillment, connection, and redemption.

Fort Atkinson's Fran and Chuck Frandson recently sat down with Rainbow Community Care's Kenyon Kemnitz to share one such story.

It's about Lou Yanz, a local boy whose immense talent and love of baseball brought him within a stone's throw of the Major Leagues in the 1960s, and along the way, glory to Fort Atkinson High School and inspiration to those around him, including many family members and friends.

Last fall, the staff at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center ensured that Lou could watch Game 1 of the World Series while enjoying his favorite meal: a grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate milk. Afterward, he was able to reunite with his Uncle Nick, a former Major League pitcher, and share a catch on the metaphorical field they built together.
