Clients,

I am so excited about the upcoming return to my practice and to all my exceptional clients. I have missed seeing all of you so much. Know that your safety and health are of the utmost importance. My tenative opening date will be during the week of June 15th. While I realize that phase two began today and our profession was able to re-open, I felt that it was important to observe the COVID related data for two more weeks as a safe plan. Please be patient with me, as this will be a slow re-open, allowing for all the necessary recommendations/protocols to be followed and executed. Many of you have reached out and are just as excited about resuming our proactive and preventative care as I am. Please see the previous posts as it lays out in detail how I plan to operate my business in the safest way possible. Feel free to call or text, and I'll be happy to set up your next session as soon as possible.

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

To a safe and healthy return...

Cass

Dear Clients,

We hope this finds you and your family in good health. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same; our commitment to your safety and health.

By its very nature, massage and bodywork requires skin-to-skin contact and you should be familiar with the fact that infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. As we navigate life with additional requirements and modify existing measures due to the coronavirus, please help me to support all of our clientele by cooperating with some new requirements.

Our practice follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the state of Rhode Island and the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our clients as well as ourselves. For example:

We will communicate with you beforehand to obtain updates to your health information and ask you specifically about your potential exposure to COVID-19.

When you arrive at the office, We’ll ask that you wait in your vehicle until we text you or call you to come in. This ensures that we don’t have too many people in the reception area at one time.

Please do not arrive early to your appointment. We are spacing our clients further apart to allow for adequate time to sanitize per our practice guidelines.

We will greet you at the door and use a no touch thermal temperature screening to confirm that you don’t have a fever.

We’ll ask you if you have developed any symptoms of illness since we spoke on the phone. If you feel ill on the day of your session, there is no penalty for cancelling your appointment. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness.

Please bring a face mask to use while you are in the building, and during your massage.

We will ask you to sign an informed consent form that states, “I understand that close contact with people increases the risk of infection from COVID-19, as well as any other form of communicable disease. By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks involved and give consent to receive massage from this practitioner.”

There is a hand-hygiene station that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find hand sanitizer in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

We look forward to seeing all of you again and we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep all of our clients safe in our practice. We will be reaching out to you individually to establish your next appointment within our schedules. Our practice is tentatively scheduled to open during the week of 06/15/2020.

Thank you for being our clients. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to a safe, therapeutic massage environment.

To Our Clients,

As of Sunday 03/22/2020, our Governor and the Department of Health, under whom we are licensed, mandated that all close contact businesses close as of 5pm today, which is inclusive of the massage therapy profession. We know and understand how massage therapy directly and positively effects your life, as many of you see us for therapeutic reasons. For the safety of our clients, ourselves and all families involved, it was necessary to close our doors last week. We will remain closed until the state has given the authority to safely reopen our practice. For more information regarding how Rhode Island is fighting COVID-19, please follow this link:

https://health.ri.gov

Please use this time to slow down and take time for yourself. Exercise, stretch, take quiet time, be mindful and follow the medical advice of your P*P as needed as you move through this difficult time. Know that Michaele and I are here for you and will continue to be here once we reopen. We look forward to that day.

Be Well,

Cassie & Michaele
