🌟 Exciting News from Cherry Hill Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! 🌟

🎓 We are so proud to celebrate our dedicated associates who have taken the initiative to advance their careers! Cherry Hill Manor fully supports our employees in their educational journeys, and today we would like to give a special shout-out to three remarkable LPNs who have recently graduated with their RN degrees: 🥳 Congratulations to Jessica Lopes, Laurie Cabana, and Abimbola Olufemi!

👩‍⚕️ Jessica has been a vital part of our Cherry Hill family for 15 years and is currently the 4th Floor Unit Manager. Laurie, with nearly 8 years of dedicated service, is our Weekend Supervisor. Both Jessica and Laurie successfully completed their RN program at the New England Institute of Technology, with invaluable support from Cherry Hill Manor. Thanks to schedule adjustments and CHM's sponsorship of the Rhode Island Health Care Association scholarship, they were able to graduate with no financial burden! 🙌

👩‍⚕️ Abimbola Olufemi has been with us as an LPN floor nurse for almost 2 years. Thanks to Cherry Hill’s flexible scheduling and tuition reimbursement, she also achieved her RN at New England Institute of Technology. 👏

We wish these amazing ladies the best of luck on their State Boards! 🎉 This is a fantastic accomplishment, and we’re excited to see where this journey takes you!

Delicious Moments at Our Nursing Home! 😋

The residents had a wonderful time sampling a this hearty Vegetarian Chili Mac! 🍲 This healthy option made the cooking demonstration extra special, filling the room with delightful aromas. Our fantastic Activity Department whipped up this fast and easy recipe found on Pinterest, and we’re excited to share that the consensus among our residents was that the chili was absolutely outstanding! 🎉

🌼✨ Spring has officially sprung here at Cherry Hill Manor!

🍀 Recently our creative residents had an absolute blast crafting colorful floral decorations and adorable shamrock lanterns with the activity department. 🌈🌸 It’s clear we have some incredibly talented artists among us! ✨ During Long‑Term Care Administrators Week, we are especially grateful for Life Care's Executive Directors who carry that responsibility with such excellence. Today, National Caregivers Day, we recognize all types of caregivers 🫶: our associates who bring compassion and professionalism to their interactions with our residents; family members who lovingly care for their loved ones; and other professionals in the healthcare industry who take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.

Together, we bring more than just "services." We bring love, comfort, and the dignity every person deserves. ☺️

❤️ Valentine’s Day was extra special this year at Cherry Hill Manor Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. ❤️

The Activity department outdid themselves, arranging custom balloon-o-grams 🎈 that were delivered to residents and associates, filling the halls with color and smiles. From the lobby, they also offered a lovely Valentine’s gift and treat table, where families and friends could purchase goodies for their favorite valentines. 🧁

🍓 Loraine added a sweet touch by setting up a decadent chocolate fountain, complete with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, pound cake, pretzels, and graham crackers for everyone to enjoy. All the while, DJ Eddie played Valentine's favorites, creating the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and joy. Check out all the love and smiles in the room! 💕

We are incredibly proud to recognize Laurie Cabana, our Weekend Nursing Supervisor, as our January Whatever It Takes Champion! 🥳🎉 Laurie truly went above and beyond during the recent snowstorm, which brought over 18 inches of snow. ❄️ She stepped up to make sure our residents and staff were safe, supported, and cared for. 🫂

Laurie was nominated by our Maintenance Director, Pasquale Simone, who shared this about her:👇

“On January 25, I was the manager on duty. Several staff members were panicked about the snowstorm. I proceeded to call Laurie to set up an emergency plan for employee transport and accommodations during the storm. Laurie advised me she already had a plan in action. She was transporting staff herself, and all staff were notified that they would be served breakfast and could leave after their shift, which helped put them at ease. We proceeded to take mattresses from vacant rooms and set up sleeping areas in the dining room. Laurie is resourceful and is always there to lend a hand. I have worked with her multiple times, and I think she is an excellent Nurse and a great leader."

🐾 We had a captivating afternoon with Dave Marchetti and his animal friends! As we learned about snakes, skinks, hedgehogs and turtles, we also got to be hands on and touch and hold all these fascinating creatures! 🐍🦔🐢

Many residents were surprised to find snake scales to be cool and smooth and laughed when we found out the hedgehog eats kitty food! 😂 It was a great afternoon of learning, and we can't wait to see our animal friends again! 👍
