We are thrilled to announce that Andrew, one of our outstanding subacute Nurses, has been awarded February’s “Whatever It Takes” honor! His nominator shared, 📝 "Andrew was an amazing nurse to my mom. He always came with a positive attitude, he answered all our questions with patience and optimism. Sometimes we ask so many questions and drove him crazy. Axe-cellent fun! 🪓 Under the enthusiastic guidance of our Activity department, our residents stepped up to the challenge and showed off their impressive axe-throwing skills. 🎯 It was incredible to see everyone take aim and throw those rubber axes with such precision! 🎉 The laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition made the day unforgettable. Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

We had a wonderful Easter party last week! 🐰🌷 Our residents enjoyed a delightful visit from the Easter Bunny, bingo games, and tasty snacks! A big shoutout to our Executive Director for generously passing out eggs and ham, allowing our caring staff to create their own special Easter breakfasts. 🍳🥚

We hope everyone’s Easter was filled with blessings, family, and cherished moments. Thank you to all who joined in the celebration, making it a memorable day for our Cherry Hill Manor community! 💕

What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶
