🎶 A Jolly Evening of Christmas Carols 🎶

🎄The festive spirit was all around as our residents enjoyed a heartwarming performance by the talented students of Johnston High School. With the amazing Kevin accompanying on the piano 🎹, every note filled the air with joy and cheer. It was wonderful to see residents singing along, sharing laughs, and making memories on this special evening. Thank you, Johnston High School Carolers, for the festive evening! 🎅 Santa’s Special Visit 🎅

We were thrilled to welcome Santa to our nursing home during the recent Christmas Bazaar! He brought joy to our residents, staff, and guests alike. 🎄 It was heartwarming to see his festive spirit brighten everyone’s day as he visited our beloved community members and shared holiday cheer.

🍁 Our wonderful holiday spirit is in full swing here! This year, our maintenance director, Pat, really brought the fun by dressing up as a turkey, and handing out turkeys to our incredible staff. 🦃

We know many of our dedicated team will be working on the holidays, making sure our residents feel loved and cared for—even while they miss a family meal of their own. 🫶 It’s their sacrifice and commitment that truly makes our community special. Another round of applause for extraordinary care! 🌟 Today’s “Whatever It Takes—and Then Some” Award goes to Maria Paz, CNA. We’re proud to recognize associates who go the extra mile—because our families, residents, and teammates see it and nominate them.

💙 Maria brings heart, reliability, and positivity to every shift, making our community feel like home. Her nominator shared, “Maria is very smart, knowledgeable, and great at training staff. She came in on her day off to do end-of-life care for one of her residents. The next day off she came in to spend time with the patient's husband. Maria makes every patient feel as if they are the only one here by providing individualized care. After patients are discharged they will call and check on her wellbeing. She is a team player and you will never hear her say 'I can't'!”

Celebrating excellence! 💙 Today we honored Rose Louis Noel, LPN, with our Whatever It Takes Champions Award. Nominations for this award come from families, residents, and fellow team members—people who see the difference every day.

Rose goes above and beyond to care for our residents with compassion, skill, and pride. Her nominator shared, “Rosey is not only a great nurse, she has become my friend and confidante at Cherry Hill. She stops to see my mom when she is lonely and listens to her stories. She has made my mom feel like family with us. She has helped me through difficult times when I needed advice, and because of her expertise as a skilled RN, I know my mom is safe and in good hands!” 🩺

Stirring Up Memories: Mary’s Biscotti d’Uovo 🧑‍🍳

This week, our community gathered for a special cooking and tasting demonstration led by our very own resident Mary! She delighted everyone with a traditional Italian egg biscuit cookie—an old family favorite. The sweet aroma filled the room as Mary shared stories and techniques, while residents enjoyed tasting and reminiscing together. 😁 The social buzz was joyful, and our activity team loved stepping back to hand Mary the wooden spoon. It was a beautiful celebration of heritage, connection, and the simple joy of baking together. 😋
