Brio of Johnston is dedicated to designing community events and discussions that spark moments of pure joy and connection. Through our 'Fireside Chats' series, we're unlocking the potential of our residents, giving them a platform to share their talents and professions, and it's truly taken off. A recent highlight was 'Stitching With Love,' where residents lovingly shared their crafting treasures and expertise. We can't wait to share more exciting topics in this series with you! 😊

The holiday season truly shines brightest when we witness the boundless compassion and generosity that defines our community at Brio of Johnston.

The past season was nothing short of extraordinary! Our team members, residents, and their loved ones came together for two charity drives that were resounding successes! The Children’s Cancer Connection charity drive granted the wishes of three children, while our collaboration with Joppa made a tangible difference in the lives of Polk County's homeless population. Furthermore, our partnership with The Eternity Church in Johnston led to an outpouring of support for our long-term care residents through their Angel Tree, meeting every wish and surpassing expectations for our team members!
The kindness, support, and compassion shown warmed hearts to so many and meant the world!

These acts of kindness remind us of the transformative power of compassion and generosity!❤️🙏

Is the Christmas spirit really something that just ends? It's the joy, humor, generosity, and kindness that truly define this time of year, and those are qualities we can nurture all year round.
Before 2025 comes to a close, Brio wants to share some special moments from Santa's recent visit, where he brought gifts to residents and posed for photos. Those gifts and memories are still bringing smiles. 🎅🏻🎄
Thank you SANTA JP

"In those days, Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. And everyone went to their own town to register.

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

"While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room available for them.

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.

"But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.'

"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest heaven.'" - Luke 2:1-14

On behalf of everyone at WesleyLife: Thank you to all who have blessed us with the opportunity to serve you this past year. We wish you a warm, healthy, merry Christmas surrounded by those who bring you joy.
