The Secretary of the Army has issued
Army Directive 2025-25, which provides updated guidance on the use of social media across the force. This directive emphasizes consistent communication and professional engagement on official platforms.

To align with this directive, this social media account will be archived and no longer used for official updates or communication, effective 28 FEB 2026.

Thank you for your continued support of our Soldiers and families as we align with this policy. We look forward to continuing to share our story through official channels.

We have intentionally stayed quiet on social media out of respect for our fallen and injured Troopers and their families. With Staff Sergeants Howard and Torres-Tovar arriving home in Iowa on Wednesday and are now with their families. With final preparations being made public, please see the following post regarding their funeral arrangements.

Staff Sergeant Howard and Staff Sergeant Torres were the kind of soldiers everyone hoped to serve beside. They were professionals who took care of their Troopers first, leaders who never asked more of others than they were willing to give themselves, and teammates who showed up every day with humility and quiet resolve to complete the mission. They were sons, brothers, friends, and mentors whose presence made our unit stronger and their Troopers feel protected and valued. Known for their work ethic, knowledge, skills, loyalty, and their ability to bring calm and quick witted humor into hard moments, they embodied what it meant to wear the uniform with honor. Their legacy is not defined by how they died, but by how they lived and the lives they impacted along the way.

With today being Veteran’s Day, our deployed Troopers want to extend their sincere gratitude to all the incredible organizations and individuals who have taken the time to send care packages and letters. While we receive thanks for our service, we owe an even bigger “thank you” to everyone who continues to support us.

Your generosity makes a real difference in our daily lives and remind us that we’re never far from the thoughts and hearts of those we serve. From snacks and hygiene items to handwritten notes, every package lifts morale and strengthens our connection to home.
