The power of connection and collaboration was on full display as our Marketing Directors from Hilltop Heights/The Villages of Hilltop and Maple Heights/The Villages of Maple Heights came together for a meaningful afternoon at the Women’s Information Networking Lunch. They had the privilege of hearing from an inspiring guest speaker Linda Thomson, whose leadership as former President & CEO of JARI has made a lasting impact on our region.

Her insights on leadership, resilience, and community growth inspired our Marketing Directors and many other amazing women in various roles throughout our community. We are grateful to be a part of a community that values connection, empowerment and growth.

This week in Cooking Club, we made the classic dessert “Dirt” layered with vanilla pudding, crushed cookies, and topped off with gummy worms for a perfect playful touch! It was as fun to make as it was to eat!

Each month, there is a different Port of Call theme. This month, the theme is Lima, Peru.

Lima is a longstanding, historic city rich in culture and attractions for tourists to see. Founded on January 18, 1535 by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, Lima was given the nickname “The City of Kings” because the discovery date was close to the Epiphany, a popular Christian festival. Today, Lima is home to over 8 million people, and hosts a blend of cultural and architectural influences from the different civilizations over the years.
