National Nursing Home Week, May 10-16, 2015.... This years theme: Bring on the Fiesta!

Imagine an event that brings the long-term care (LTC) COMMUNITY of residents, rehab patients, families and care center staff together for a weeklong festival of fun:
Monday ...Mix Match Day
Tuesday ...Red, White & Blue
Wednesday ....Professional Sports
Thursday ...Inside Out Day
Friday .... Favorite College

Think of all the fun our community can have, which is precisely why we call on everyone to strut their stuff this week. Make it a special time of entertainment and education, while focusing on bringing to life the theme of “Familia, Vida and Amor” (family, life, love). Let's
weave in the importance of a kind word, a personal touch and being connected to the resident. Let's show everyone the pride we have in our home!

has anyone talked with you about Adopt-a-Grandparent Program? This is a program to give a Christmas/holiday gift to the elderly in our nursing homes. I am asking anyone who can to purchase a $20 gift set(which includes gift,tx,wrap & delivery) that will be given to the elderly in a nursing home. The gift set you give will have a tag saying it comes from you! There's 75-100 people in Johnstown's Presbyterian home & my goal is to provide 1 gift set for every person living there. The gift set includes a satin hands hand cream & a mint bliss foot & leg lotion, so they are perfect for men or women!! Is there any reason why you wouldn't want to be a part of this great program? Please let me know if you can help. Thx!
