We’re fighting
kidney disease.
Here’s how.
The National Kidney Foundation is the leading organization in the U.S. dedicated to the awareness,
prevention and treatment of kidney disease. We provide a broad array of programs, resources, and
services for patients, those at risk, healthcare professionals and the general public.
KEEP HEALTHY
KEEP Healthy is a free, kidney health screening that is designed
to raise awareness about kidney disease and drive those who
are at risk to get tested.
THE BIG ASK, BIG GIVE
Living donation makes better lives possible. Whether you need
a kidney, or want to learn more about donation, it starts with
asking the NKF. During the Big Ask, Big Give workshops we
teach patients how to share their story and ask people to
consider donation. This program is done in person and
virtually.
DRIVE FOR DIALYSIS
Drive for Dialysis is a hands-on, non-skills based corporate
volunteer opportunity in which employees assemble packages
for dialysis patients while learning about the importance of our
kidneys, kidney disease, and how they can continue to be
involved with NKF.
YOUR KIDNEYS & YOU and YOUR KIDNEYS & YOUTH
Your Kidneys & You is a free workshop offered to business,
college, and community groups, while Your Kidneys & YouTH is
targeted towards school-aged children, youth, and teens. All
workshops are aimed to educate people about their kidneys,
how they work, and how to keep them healthy. Both workshops and tools can be offered in person or virtually.
KIDNEY HEALTH INFORMATION and WEBINARS
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has the most extensive
library of kidney health information for individuals, patients,
transplant recipients, and living donors, including newsletters,
printed brochures, online materials, and virtual workshops.
PATIENT NETWORK
Join the first of it’s kind, nationwide kidney disease patient registry that will advance both patient education and kidney disease treatment. Visit kidney.org/nkfpatientnetwork to learn
more!
NKF CARES

families, and caregivers affected by kidney disease. Call 855-
NKF-CARES (855-653-2273) or email [email protected]
to speak with a trained professional who will answer your
questions, listen to your concerns, and send you free education
brochures. We offer support and resources in both English and
Spanish.
NKF PEERS
NKF Peers is a free, telephone-based program offered to stage
4 kidney patients, those on dialysis or those with a transplant.
Patients are linked with trained volunteer mentors who offer
support and guidance. For more information, call 855-NKFPEERS (855-653-7337) or email [email protected].
ADVOCACY
The NKF empowers those affected by kidney disease to
become advocates for themselves and others, by giving them
tools to communicate with lawmakers, share their stories, and
raise awareness. Learn about our Advocacy Program and share
your voice! www.kidney.org/advocacy
PA RENAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
PA residents who meet eligibility requirements are reimbursed
for a portion of the transportation costs associated with
traveling to clinics for dialysis. This program is run in
collaboration within the guidelines of, the Chronic Renal
Disease Program (CRDP). Serve nearly 600 dialysis patients in
western and eastern PA. For more information Maggie Pratt
