Our first inaugural Breakfast of Champions took place this morning at the Holiday Inn. Thank you to the many community partners who joined us to honor our Community Health Champions; Andrea Fettinger-Executive Director of Fulton County Office for Aging and Youth, Richard DeMallie-Superintendent of Fonda Fultonville Central School District, Patrick Crouse-former Four Rivers Alliance Coalition Coordinator and Sheila Crouse-teacher at Lake Pleasant School District. We greatly appreciate all of your hard work and support in helping our communities thrive.

Tabling today at Johnstown High School to bring awareness to Red Ribbon Week which is celebrated each year from October 23-31. Students may choose to sign the Pledge to make healthy choices and remain drug free.

Research shows that walking in nature 3 times a week is associated with 36% lower odds of using antidepressants. 😮

Now, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t consult with your doctor about this, but maybe it encourages you to take an extra walk this week, and see how you feel after. ❤️

🤓 There’s some science behind it! has a great post (we’ll share it in our stories) that the reason for this has to do with kids being more willing to open up when they feel:

-emotionally unpressured
-can control when and how the conversation happens
-know they can leave without drama
