If you made a goal, or resolution this year to improve your health, or even just stay on top of making doctor’s appointments, read this! 👀

1. Talk about your lifestyle with your doctor, and consider asking questions like - Are my heart rate and blood pressure in normal range? What tests and screenings are you ordering and why? What lifestyle changes can I make to improve my health? ❤️

2. Review your medical history and current medications. Have your doctor explain anything to you that you don’t understand, and take your time! Try not to feel rushed, it is your appointment, after all. 🩺

3. Discussing any new or recent symptoms. Small things, or big things - they all count, and your dr will want to know about them. If you’re worried you’ll forget, write them down, either on paper, or in your phone. 📱

The next time your thoughts start to spiral… 🌀

Get up and move! Did you know that a ten minute walk can do more for your mental health than an hour of overthinking? 🤯

Movement (like walking), interrupts the loop of overthinking, and activates your parasympathetic response, which is the rest/digest responses that tells your body it’s safe to relax. 😌

So, even if it’s winter, or even if you’re at work, take a couple of laps around indoors, or to the water cooler and back. Your mind, and body will thank you! 🙏

The term may be funny, but the reality isn’t. 😥

Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, or CHS can cause some people affected to cry out in pain, leading to its other name: scromiting, for the combination of screaming and vomiting. 😟

In a recent article, the Chicago Tribune says, "The condition is rare and the mechanism of its cause unexplained, prompting some cannabis advocates to refuse to believe it… A new study of hospital emergency departments nationwide by the University of Illinois Chicago found the number of diagnosed cases of CHS jumped sevenfold from 2016 to 2022.” 😮
