Balance. It looks different for everyone, and I think this is important to acknowledge.

Creating a healthy, sustainable lifestyle to reach your desired goals cannot be successful if you are constantly restricting and limiting yourself. Short-term success, maybe. Long-term, not so much.

This is why I do not support specific fad diets long-term - because they simply aren't sustainable over time.

Instead, here are a few tips I have.

✅️ Opt for minimally processed foods. Always have the goal of shopping on the OUTSIDE of your grocery store - your produce, meat, and dairy sections. Avoid the inner aisles with overly-processed boxed goods that have minimal nutritional value left by the time they reach the shelves.

✅️ Be intentional with your meals. Excessive snacking can lead to consuming extra cals, when in all honesty - you probably weren't that hungry in the first place. Avoid eating for entertainment and out of boredom.

✅️ Plan Ahead. Meal prep your lunches for work a couple days before. Plan your weekly meals before you go to the grocery store. Not only does this help you budget, but it also keeps you from buying unnecessary snacks on those store end caps.

Antioxidant FILLED peach, mango, blueberry smoothie perfect for summer ☀️🤩🥭🍑

If you're like me and crave something sweet and refreshing in the summer but trying to avoid corn syrup loaded ice creams, popsicles, and processed sweet treats..these are PERF 💗

I've been obsessed with throwing whatever fruit I have on hand that's about to go bad into my nutribullet and turning it into popsicles to enjoy throughout the week!

Recipe:
~ 2 c. Mixed fruit (I used Blueberries, peaches, mango, and 1 small ripe banana for sweetness)
~ 3/4 c almond milk or water
~ 1/4 c coconut water
~ 1 tbsp honey
~ 1 tbsp coconut sugar (optional)

Pop into popsicle molds, freeze overnight or 4+ hours and enjoy! 🥰

Cranberry Coconut Energy Bites💪🤩🔥

Looking for a quick pre-workout snack to give you enough fuel to get through that workout? These treats are my FAVE before a mid-day lift after work when I'm needing some easy carbs. These are a great way to get some extra nutrients in! I never thought cranberry & coconut could go SO well together until I tried this one 🤤 Give them a go!! ⬇️

Ingredients:
✅️1/3 cup dried cranberries or craisins
✅️1 cup oats (blended up into a flour consistency)
✅️1/4 cup Honey OR Maple syrup
✅️1/2 cup Nut butter of choice
✅️1 tbsp Chia seeds
✅️1/3 cup Coconut
✅️ Splash of almond/Oat milk

Mix all ingredients together until combined. Roll into bite-sized balls, cover, and refrigerate until cold. These stay fresh up to 5 days and make for the perfect mid-day pick me up!

5 MOVES TO INCREASE HIP MOBILITY 🍑🤸‍♀️💪

The real question is, who isn't anymore 😭 Then this is for you, hip mobility is EXTREMELY important to reduce the risk for injury, improve your posture, and reduce tension on your lower back/other key muscle groups!

Many of us aren't educated on what proper mobility and warmups consist of, until it's too late and we face an injury ☹️ stay ahead of them and incooperate these into your next warmup/cooldown routine!

Almost titled this - salsa recipe from heaven itself 😍🤤

Salsa is one of my faveeee fresh snacks, and this recipe blows jar salsa out of the park x100 👌 Also - this is a great way to use up any fresh produce you may have lying around about to expire! This makes quite a bit so also a great opportunity to share it with the ones you love! ❤️ Give it a try and let me know what you think!!

SAVE for later ✅️
Ingredients:
🌶 4 tomatoes
🌶 1/2 onion - ((i ended up adding another whole onion))
🌶 4-5 cloves of garlic
🌶 cilantro (to your tasting)
🌶 3 cans crushed tomatoes
🌶 4-5 assorted peppers
🌶 canned chiles (ended up using 2)
🌶 2 jalepenos
🌶 5-6 dried Arbol chiles
🌶 1 tsp of each : onion, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, Paprika, & chili powder

✅️ Throw all ingredients into a blender/food processor & boom, that's it!! I reccomend letting this sit overnight so the flavors combine, then adding more ingredients the following day if needing adjusting to your taste! 😋 we added more peppers & Cilantro which topped it off perfect.

Our habits, our routines, & our lifestyle are all formulated based on our surroundings and feeling like we're "out of control"...

But listen up - you are 100% in control. You can CHOOSE to make a change today, and no one else is going to come by and do it for you. Choose to go on a 10 minute walk, cook a healthy recipe, saying no to that draining friend and taking time to yourself, learning something new, reading a book, etc.

All it comes down to is formulating these things we consider "small habits" that really make the big impact in the end.

Intermittent Fasting 101 🔥

What is it?? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Intermittent fasting is eating for only a certain window of time, for example ; 10am-6pm, or 12pm-8pm.

This gives our body a break from overloading it with food essentially, and gives our body a chance to really make use of our most recent meal - breaking down the calories as fuel, then targeting the body's fat as fuel the longer you fast.

I always reccomend to my clients to start out with a 10 hour feeding window, then progressively shortening it as you should ease into anything new!
