Much of our work at NAMI Will-Grundy involves advocating.
We advocate for stigma reduction, hope, and the health of each person.

We also join forces with other NAMIs across the State of Illinois to advocate on legislative issues.

Several weeks ago, Youth & Young Adult Programs Coordinator (Becca) joined colleagues from around the state to elevate the needs of communities across the state while strengthening the collective voice for mental health.

Employees who are supported in their mental health, and in the health of their loved ones, present to the workplace more focused and are more productive.

Mental Wellness in the Workplace is a 30min presentation that provides information, tips and resources to address mental wellness.

Let us know when your workplace is ready to bring NAMI Will-Grundy on site.

Thank you to Michelle Bohacik Pruim from NAMI Will-Grundy for presenting last week at the University of St. Francis. CNE appreciates you sharing practical tools for managing stress and preventing burnout in nonprofit work.

Also, thank you to President Ryan C. Hendrickson for the continued support.

Thanks to Minooka District 201 for inviting us to present Ending the Silence to 7th graders!

We spoke with nearly 500 students at Minooka Junior High last week, sharing information about signs/symptoms of mental health concerns, how to talk with trusted adults, and su***de prevention.

‼Of those who completed the survey, 91% indicate that as a result of the presentation, they "know how to help myself, a friend, a student, or a family member if I notice any of these warning signs."

We all have mental health. 💚
You are not alone if you or someone you love is currently living with a mental health concern.

To learn more about Ending the Silence, and how to bring this program to you community, please visit www.https://namiwg.org/support-and-education/presentations/nami-ending-the-silence/.
