The basic needs such as love and belonging, safety needs, and physiological needs must be met in order for a person to develop high self-esteem eventually leading to self-actualization or the ability to define in one's life, and find the answer to the question "WHO AM I?"

In order to achieve wellness a person must have a mastery in all four realms of human existence (self, society, biology, and spirituality). A concern in one area leads to a person experiencing anxiety. Anxiety is a normal aspect of life, but neurotic or problematic anxiety debilitates causing a sense of paralysis in achieving one's goals and desires

At ECS, we believe every life holds value, every story matters, and recovery is always possible.

Join us on Thursday, August 28th from 5-8pm at the “Your Light Still Shines” event at Lincoln-Way West High School Auditorium to honor those lost to the struggle of addiction and to learn more about what’s being done to fight it.

We must challenge the stigma that discourages men from seeking help and instead promote a culture where vulnerability is seen a strength .
