Dr. Alan Chen has been once again recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons in 2025. This time in the category for breast augmentation. The list was compiled through a survey of thousands of medical experts that resulted in over 10,000 peer recommendations. Less than 6% of all plastic surgeons make this prestigious list.

The University of Pittsburgh Plastic Surgery Residency program is ranked number 1 again after surveying tens of thousands of physicians.
Dr. Chen completed his training at UPMC more than 18 years ago. Back then, it was the preeminent program in the nation and today, it’s no different!
Congratulations to the mentors and faculty at UPMC for continuing this legacy of excellence!
