Today, we gathered together as a school family to honor the life and memory of our very special student, Jacob Garland, who bravely fought cancer and passed away in February.

With love in our hearts, we held a tree dedication in his memory—a living tribute that will continue to grow, just like the impact Jacob had on all of us. This beautiful tree was generously donated by our therapy department, and it will stand as a symbol of strength, resilience, and the joy he brought into our lives.

Though Jacob is no longer with us, his spirit will always be a part of The Academy. We will think of him often as this tree grows—reminding us of his light, his courage, and the love he shared with everyone around him.

We had an egg-stra special time at The Academy celebrating Easter with our annual egg hunt! 🐰🥚 The kids had so much fun searching for colorful eggs, enjoying sweet treats, and making the best memories with their friends.

Seeing their excitement and smiles made the day truly unforgettable! 💛

Autism is not a one-size-fits-all diagnosis—it is a spectrum filled with unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world. Today is about celebrating those differences, promoting understanding, and creating a more inclusive and supportive community for individuals with autism and their families.

Let’s continue to choose kindness, patience, and acceptance—not just today, but every day.

The “wear blue” tradition is linked to the campaign known as Light It Up Blue, where people, landmarks, and organizations use the color blue to raise awareness and show solidarity.

🌸 Spring Break Reminder 🌸
