Keep Minds Bright This Summer! ☀️

The Department of Student Behavioral Health and Well-Being is here for your family—even when school’s out! This summer, we’re offering free teletherapy services for students ages 10 and up, so your child can get support from anywhere. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, big transitions, or just needing someone to talk to, help is just a click away. Let’s make mental wellness part of your summer routine!

School-based services will return in August, but summer support starts now.

Special thanks to the Jesse Parker Foundation for a 3-year grant supporting mental health services for Clayton County Public Schools!

Greetings Parents and Guardians:

Clayton County Public Schools is pleased to announce the launch of the Summer Learning Academy (SLA) Program. This program will begin on June 2, 2025, and continue through June 25, 2025, excluding Fridays and Juneteenth (June 19th).

The SLA will offer reading, writing, math, and STEM education for students in grades K-8. It will target academic gaps, teach foundational skills in math and literacy, and emphasize critical thinking through real-world problem-solving in STEM.

The SLA program is available to currently enrolled CCPS students in grades PreK - 8th. We provide breakfast, lunch, and transportation. SLA Registration opens February 14, 2025, and remains open through March 9, 2025. Parents can apply for the SLA programs using https://applyclayton.schoolmint.com/login. Parents will need to create a SchoolMint account if they do not already have one. To do so, they will need their child’s CCPS student ID number for account creation and registration.

We encourage you to register early because availability is limited. Parents and guardians will receive information via email regarding their child's assigned summer learning program, along with pertinent details, such as bus routes, instructional timings, and more. We will communicate this information prior to the end of the school year.

Email inquiries to: summerlearninginfo@clayton.k12.ga.us

Clayton County Public Schools celebrates School Social Work Week March 2-8, 2025

This year's theme from the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) is "Unite to Ignite: Celebrating our Impact," highlighting the passion of school social workers who unite communities to ignite positive change in the lives of students, families, and schools.

Our school social workers are trained professionals who promote the social, emotional and academic success of all students through the identification, prevention and elimination of barriers that interfere with learning. They provide a vital link between the home, school and community with the goal of making our students in need happier, healthier and stronger learners!

Thank you to our teammates!
