Huge congratulations to our Faculty of the Year Dr. Morrison, his hard working efforts in teaching this year as both our medicine attending and pulmonary critical care attending did not go unnoticed! A big congratulations as well to our Resident of the Year William Muniz heading into his PGY3 year and Intern of the Year Baylee King heading into our PGY2 year!!

We would like to highlight two new awards given at graduation this year and the recipients.

The first is the Excellence in Medical Knowledge Award. This award is given to the resident who has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in our monthly quizzes, showcasing a commitment to academic excellence and a depth of clinical knowledge. This year, the award goes to Dr. Duc Vo.
Next, we have the Spirit of Inquiry Award. This award is meant to honor a resident who not only pursues knowledge with curiosity, but also uplifts colleagues and creates a supportive, inquisitive environment for learning. This year, the Spirit of Inquiry Award goes to Dr. Shi Luo.

The Arkansas Medical Society has selected Dr. Al-Shahrouri and Dr. Gupta for top honors. AMS represents approximately 15,000 physicians, physicians in training, and medical students in Arkansas. Dr. Hania Al-Shahrouri earned the Academic Excellence Award, and Dr. Ish*ta Gupta earned the Best Resident Award.
