February DAISY🌼 and BEE🐝 Award Winners

Congratulations to Sherry Long of the Infusion Center team, on receiving the Daisy Award, and Monika Brown from Telemetry, on receiving the BEE Award.

🌼The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's programs to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.

🐝The BEE (Beyond Exceptional Expectations) Award was established to recognize our team members who go beyond expectations in our support and ancillary areas. Just as a daisy cannot survive without a bee, our patients rely on the support of those in our ancillary and support team members who provide exceptional care. Awards are driven by patients, family, and staff nominations.

The St. Bernards Hand & Wrist Center is now open, led by the arrival of Hand and Microsurgery Specialist Dr. Safder Hasan.

The region's first-of-its-kind services from Dr. Hasan include joint replacements (arthroplasties) for thumbs and digits, work-related and repetitive strain injuries, arthritis and joint reconstruction, trauma services, microsurgery, nerve and functional restoration and more.
