We appreciate the Arkansas Medical Society for spotlighting one of our true rockstars!

Welcome to our Friday Member Feature …

Today, the Society shines a light on future physician Harrison Dean! 👏

🩺 An Arkansan through and through, Harrison graduated from the University of Arkansas and is now a fourth-year medical student at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State in Jonesboro.

With goals of pursuing general and cardiothoracic surgery, Harrison is choosing a career in medicine to “combine technical skill, problem-solving, and teaching” to make a difference for patients, as he never stops learning himself! ❤️

His love for anatomy and education even led him to spend a year teaching it to help shape future medical minds. 📚🔬

He appreciates AMS for its support of “learners and physicians who are working to improve healthcare in our state.”

🎉 AMS is proud to have you, Harrison Dean, as a student member and a future physician member. Arkansas is lucky to have you as part of its future!

Our student doctors are making an impact, both in the clinic and beyond 🩺👏

On , student doctors Caitlin Holt and Brittany Hanna met with Senator John Boozman on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., engaging in meaningful conversations around health policy and patient advocacy. Thank you, Senator Boozman, for supporting the voices of future physicians!

And the advocacy didn’t stop there. Just last week, our student doctors visited the Arkansas State Capitol to meet with state legislators and continue the conversation at the local level.

We’re proud to train physicians who don’t just care for patients, but stand up for them! 👏
