10 days difference in my own forehead… injection performed by YOURS TRULY! 🤣🙌💅💃

I used Jeuveau. I could use a little more in my forehead and brow area and I will do that today.

I wanted to show personal results and show how long it takes to notice change. I (personally) err on the side of caution with injections because a.) I am still learning. Both my personal needs (where I am happy) and overall injection techniques) 2.) I don’t want to look fake or overdone. 🤣

I also did my masseters for TMJ and I personally notice some jaw slimming.

I would LOVE to continue my practice on someone else! $9/unit.

One thing I hope we could all agree on is that our country is indeed in a mental health crisis. So many being left untreated, without resources, or untreated due to their own free will.

I’m proud to now be part of the solution as I accepted a position with Methodist Children’s Behavioral Hospital right here in Jonesboro!

I will not be doing the psych portion of treatment but will be doing the medical portion. I have accepted the medical consult APRN position as of a few days ago. ❤️

My clinic isn’t going anywhere. I will still be there giving it my all! This is a position I will have as an added bonus. So no worries with that either. I am so excited and I am hoping to be able to expand my staff soon! I will need the extra hands, for sure.

If you’ve known me for any amount of time you know peds have my heart. 💜 I love taking care of people of all ages but the elderly and the littles are my calling. I truly believe that now as I did NOT seek out this position… it sought me. 🥹 I prayed about this position and felt an overwhelming urge to sign the contract. So that’s what I did earlier this week!

I pray God uses this hospital and all of its staff in a way that we can say “that was God”.
I pray every child I encounter leaves my side knowing they are loved and I pray they see the love of Jesus through me.
I pray the mental health crisis stops with these younger generations.
I pray the blood of Jesus over that hospital and its staff.

I got the chance to see the progress coming along with the new place today and I feel this is exactly what we need. This little hospital is going to do great things. ❤️

What is a peptide?

Per ole trusty WebMD: Peptides are strings of molecules called amino acids, which are the "building blocks" of proteins.

Your body makes peptides that serve important functions in some of your body's most necessary processes. For instance, insulin is a 51-amino-acid-long peptide hormone that helps your cells take in sugars from your food to use for metabolism and store them in your liver.

Researchers have been working to develop peptides as treatments for some medical conditions since 1921. In fact, insulin was the first peptide ever made in a lab by scientists (called a synthetic peptide), and it's been used to treat people with type 1 diabetes since 1923.

Peptide drugs may have some advantages over other drugs because they may:

*Be easier to send where they need to go in your body
*Have fewer side effects
*Be safer because when your body breaks them down, their byproducts are amino acids that your body can recycle
*Studies show that some peptides may also have benefits for your skin, muscles, and maybe your weight. So, for decades, companies have been putting them into skin care products and dietary supplements you can buy over the counter.

As with everything else you put into your body; ALWAYS consult a medical professional! I sure hope those people getting their NAD from China don't have cancer! "WHY?" you ask? Because NAD is needed to "fuel" certain types of cancer - this could cause their cancer to grow. If they got the proper workup prior to beginning peptides, they have a better chance of finding the issue before making it worse. 🥲 The more you know.... 😏

Generally, peptides are safe. BUT you should always consult someone with a degree in the field to make sure you are a candidate!

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…. Hormones are a taboo subject. Period.

If you’ve considered hormone replacement therapy but have been on edge about it…. I want you to listen to a few minutes of this podcast. Skip to minute 22 and go until at least 35 (or really however long you want to listen to it). Do your own research if you need to. 😊 Just wanted to share this interesting info.
