Have you noticed tripping over your feet or stumbling around your house? To counter a large balance challenge, we need to implement a stepping strategy. You may notice when you start to trip or stumble, you tend to take quick small steps to attempt to maintain your balance. Sometimes our bodies can’t keep up, so we end up on the floor. With this stepping strategy, the goal is to change the position of the feet with one large step in order to increase your base of support and prevent a fall.
