🌸 Spring has officially bloomed and our friends are growing so much through pretend play in our Bloom Flower Shop! 🌼

💐 From creating bouquets to taking “orders,” this month’s pretend play station is doing more than just sparking smiles—it’s building real skills!

Pretend play helps children strengthen language, practice social interactions, improve fine motor skills, and boost creativity 🌈 It also gives them a safe space to explore problem-solving and confidence while having FUN!

Who knew a few flowers could help kids blossom in so many ways? 🌷✨

🍳 Cooking Up Skills in Pediatric Therapy! 👩🏽‍🍳
Pretend kitchen play is more than just fun—it’s a powerful way to build skills across pediatric therapy! When children cook, stir, and serve in a play kitchen, they are learning while they play!

👌🏽 Develops Fine Motor Skills
Children strengthen fine motor skills while grasping utensils, turning k***s, and cutting play food. They also practice coordination and everyday life skills like sequencing steps in a recipe.

💪🏼 Strength-building movement
Standing at the play stove, reaching for ingredients, and moving around the kitchen helps build balance, core strength, and coordination.

🗣️ Language Development
Cooking encourages kids to expand vocabulary, follow directions, and practice social communication while “serving” meals and sharing their creations.

The best part? Kids are having so much fun they don’t even realize how many skills they’re building! 🥣✨
