Timothy Lacy Robinson
February 22, 1953 – March 5, 2026

Timothy Lacy Robinson was born on February 22, 1953 to Lacy E. and Betty
McReynolds Robinson at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA.

He grew up in Kingsport, TN and was a 1971 graduate of Ketron High School. Born with a servant’s heart, Tim was a 1985 graduate from the Paramedic Program at State Technical Institute at Knoxville.

Tim served as a volunteer in both the Fall Branch, TN Volunteer Fire Department and the Gray, TN Rescue Squad before being hired by Washington Co./Johnson City EMS in 1984. He spent 37 years serving the people of Johnson City and Washington County as both a paramedic and as a member of various public safety boards.

Tim’s joy was found in nature fishing and being out on his boat on Watauga Lake. He also greatly enjoyed his numerous trips to the North Carolina shore with friends for deep sea fishing. His mother often told the story of when he was a little boy she would see him out in the backyard of the house holding a string with a safety pin attached to the end of it, placed down a hole in the ground “fishing.” His obsession started young.

His love of music was fostered by his Uncle Dan who gave him his first guitar and taught him to play at a young age. As a young teen, he would spend Sunday afternoons at his grandfather’s house playing along with his uncles and singing old-time hymns with his family. However, Tim always said the pinnacle of his musical career was the year he and the EMS band played for the EMS Christmas banquet at the Johnson City Country Club. He would laughingly say it was their biggest gig. Much like when he was holding a fishing pole, having a guitar in his arms brought him countless hours of fun and happiness.

Tim was a lifelong United Methodist and a member of First United Methodist in Johnson City, TN. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Tonya Beth Robinson, as well as his father-in-law Henry Lee Casey and brother-in-law Eddie Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Cindy Casey Robinson and his daughters Margaret Ann Campbell, Amy Robinson, and Jessica Robinson. Grandchildren Sarah Carpenter, Erin Campbell, Emily Campbell, Andrew Robinson, and Melissa Hershburger. Great-grandchildren Melody, Lacie, and Will Carpenter, A.J. and Lincoln Robinson, and Allison and Athena Hershburger. He is also survived by his sister Tammy Robinson Smith (Mike) of Bristol, VA and nephew John Morgan
Smith of Charlotte, NC. Mother-in-law Linda Casey Love (Ricky) of Erwin, TN. Sister-in-law Teresa Taylor of Jonesborough, TN and niece Amber Johnson of Telford, TN and his constant furry companions Reese and Zoey. Tim was greatly loved and will be missed beyond measure.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9 th at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow immediately under the direction of Reverend Mike Woodward. A committal service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 th at 1:00 pm in the Greenwood Cemetery on Mill Springs Road. EMS honors to be provided
by Washington Co./Johnson City EMS Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be employees of Washington Co./Johnson City EMS.

Tim served as a loving foster dad to countless dogs and cats. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter in Johnson City, TN.

Walter Robert Bohlin, 79, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his
home on February 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on
December 6, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, to Edith and Walter Bohlin.
Growing up in Brooklyn, Walter developed an early fascination with machinery and
electronics. He attended Brooklyn Technical High School, graduating in 1964, where his
natural talent for engineering first began to emerge. Choosing to pursue his passion
directly, Walter began a career in broadcast engineering, working with local television
and radio stations before being hired in the late 1960s by ABC Television as an audio
engineer.
In 1970, Walter married Carol Smythe, and together they raised three sons. The family
first lived in Staten Island, New York, before relocating to Tinmouth, Vermont, where
Walter served as Chief Engineer at WSYB in Rutland.
In 1980, Walter returned to ABC in New York as a Broadcast Systems Engineer. He
later became Director of Engineering and worked on numerous special projects for the
ABC Television Network and WABC-TV. His work included developing sophisticated
data systems for election results and designing timing and scoring interfaces for the
1980, 1984, and 1988 Olympic Games. During his years working with ABC and later
with FOX, Walter’s innovative contributions to broadcast engineering were recognized
with three Emmy Awards.
In 1990, Walter left ABC to establish his own company, Logical Computer Systems.
Drawing on his extensive expertise in election data systems and sports timing
interfaces, he collaborated with major broadcasters including ABC, CBS, WNET, and
FOX to enhance their coverage of the Olympics, election returns, figure skating scoring
system, NASCAR, and the NFL. Among his many professional accomplishments,
Walter designed a universal scoreboard interface for FOX’s NFL broadcasts, enabling
the iconic “FOX Box” on-screen graphics that have since become a standard feature in
sports broadcasting. His two sons, Ron and Tim, worked alongside him at Logical
Computer Systems, making the company not only a professional endeavor but also a
family collaboration.
Walter relocated to Weare, New Hampshire, in 1998, where he later met his wife,
Xiandi. The two were married in 2005 and soon after moved to Rincon, Georgia. There,
Walter served as Chief Engineer at WJCL in Savannah before retiring to Jonesborough,
Tennessee, with his beloved wife, Xiandi.
Above all, Walter was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. He was a brilliant
engineer, a mentor to many, and a loyal friend. His curiosity, determination, and sense
of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Walter is survived by his wife, Xiandi Li of Jonesborough, Tennessee; three sons,
Ronald Bohlin of Concord, New Hampshire; Timothy Bohlin (Danielle Patrick) of
Williston, Vermont; and William Bohlin (Mila Bohlin) of Hillsborough, New Hampshire;
and their mother, Carol Bohlin of Tinmouth, Vermont. He is also survived by his
grandchildren, Olivia Bohlin of Portland, Maine; Tyler Bohlin (Shawna Reed) of Quincy,
Massachusetts; and great-granddaughter Lucy Bohlin. He was predeceased by his
parents and his sister, Ruth Bohlin.
A service is planned for June in Tinmouth, Vermont.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter’s memory to the Scott Hamilton
CARES Foundation, www.scottcares.org
Walter’s legacy lives on not only through his family, but also through the innovations he
brought to broadcast television—many of which continue to be seen by millions around
the world.

Farron Eugene O’Neal, born July 28, 1957, in Tifton, Georgia, passed away on February 7, 2026, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, strength, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family.

He was born to Melba Luke O’Neal and Lonnie Eugene O’Neal and grew into a man known for his larger-than-life presence and even larger heart. A skilled journeyman welder by trade, Farron took pride in honest work and the craftsmanship of building things that lasted—much like the life and family he built. Though he carried the rugged spirit of a biker and looked like a bear to many, to those who knew him best—especially his daughters and grandchildren—he was nothing more than a gentle, loving teddy bear. Farron never missed a chance to say “I love you,” and he meant it every single time.

Farron was a proud and devoted father to his two daughters, Beth O’Neal and Rebecca Price, whom he loved fiercely. Being their daddy was one of the greatest joys of his life. He also dearly loved his sons-in-law, Lee Price and Mark Wood, welcoming them not just into his family, but into his heart as his own.
His pride multiplied when he became a Pa. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Joshua Hensley, Jason Price, Cayman Price, and Marley Price, children of Rebecca Price; and Jaxson O’Neal and Christopher Wood, children of Beth O’Neal. To them, he was a source of comfort, laughter, protection, and unconditional love. Farron is also survived by his sister, Sharon Senkbeil, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.

Farron’s life was defined by loyalty, family, hard work, and love spoken freely and often. His presence will be deeply missed, but his words, his hugs, and the way he made those he loved feel safe will live on forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
He was a wonderful daddy, a devoted Pa, a loving brother, and a man whose love will never fade.

A celebration of life for Farron will be held Tuesday February 17, 2026 6:00 PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home.
