WHO WE ARE AND HOW IT ALL BEGAN:
SKILLSET was born in 2013, providing services to two individuals in Central MO and now gratefully serving over 170 individuals across the state in 17 counties, providing a multitude of services. Did you know aside from our Activity Centers in Mississippi and Miller Counties, we also provide In-Home Respite to many families? We operate ISLs and also provide services to teach skills of independence in both individuals’ homes and communities. We continue to offer big opportunities for community involvement (including employment) for many individuals (aside from our regular outings with the Activity Centers). We may be found at venues and activities all over the state, and in other surrounding states, from Holiday World to Six Flags to the State Fair, and numerous zoos, museums, entertainment centers, and even campgrounds for camping and/or "glamping!" We are dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals and families however that may be to enrich and improve quality of lives! Despite our size, we’ve never sacrificed the quality of services provided. And we could not do it all without our AMAZING team of staff! Their hearts are huge and they are simply the best 💚
