Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Founded in 1957, the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri has served the Joplin community for over 52 years. Through after-school and summer programs, we provide a safe, nurturing, and caring environment for youth ages 6-18. All members receive help completing homework, access to a fully equipped computer lab, gym, and playground, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with professional staff. 🎉 Celebrating 2 Years of Service! 🎉

Today we’re giving a big shoutout to one of our incredible board members, Tara Crossland, who is celebrating two years of service on the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri Board of Directors.

She serves on our Resource Development Committee, shows up whenever she’s needed, and never hesitates to step in and help move our mission forward. But beyond the meetings and committee work, it’s her kind heart and genuine belief in what we do that makes such a difference.

We are so grateful for her time, leadership, and steady support of our kids and our mission. Because of people like her, great futures aren’t just a tagline. They’re happening every day.
