This is a great course for non-medical parents or care givers.

The Joplin Health Department is holding a ️🥰 Heartsaver® CPR/AED 🥰 class on 5-13-26 from 1 to 4:30pm at the Joplin Health Department, in the WIC classroom, at 321 East 4th Street in Joplin.

The Heartsaver® CPR/AED/First Aid course is for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, other regulatory function (e.g. OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion, students will receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Participants must be 16+ to attend class. Parent/guardian must stay with underage participants.

Attention: Parents & Guardians! Do you have a teen between the ages of 15-18 who’s just starting to drive or is about to start? You're invited to a free Parent-Teen Missouri Graduated Driver License (GDL) presentation, sponsored by the Joplin Health Department.

We’ll cover what the GDL program means to you and your teen, how to handle this new stage of driving, and what you both need to know to stay safe and confident on the road.
