Attention: Parents & Guardians! Do you have a teen between the ages of 15-18 who’s just starting to drive or is about to start? You're invited to a free Parent-Teen Missouri Graduated Driver License (GDL) presentation, sponsored by the Joplin Health Department.

We’ll cover what the GDL program means to you and your teen, how to handle this new stage of driving, and what you both need to know to stay safe and confident on the road.

It's time to get your little Eagle pre-enrolled for Kindergarten!

Families with students who will be 5 years old before Aug. 1, 2026, and who live within district boundaries are eligible to attend Joplin Schools Kindergarten programs. Eligibility for Transitional Kindergarten will also be determined during the pre-enrollment and screening process.

(Current JEC and Flight School students do not need to pre-enroll; these families will be contacted to schedule screenings soon.)

Goodbyes are never easy, especially when it’s someone as special as McKenzie. We are incredibly proud of her and so grateful for everything she has done for our office. She brought organization, calm, and heart into every corner of our work, and thanks to her, we’re more than ready to take on spring. McKenzie, we are cheering you on as you step into your new career role. You’ve made a lasting mark here, and we will miss you so much.

Preschool screenings are NOW OPEN for the 2026-27 school year!

If you have a child who will be 3 or 4 years old BEFORE Aug. 1, 2026, they may be eligible for free preschool at Joplin Early Childhood or in a Little Eagles Flight School classroom. Enrollment spaces are very limited, so we recommend completing the interest form and scheduling a screening as soon as possible. Here's how:

⭐Step 1 - Complete the Enrollment Interest Form on our website: https://joplinschools.org/38779_3

⭐Step 2 - Watch your email to schedule a preschool screening.

Spots in preschool programs are very limited and are not guaranteed. Current JEC students must complete the Enrollment Interest Form (but do not need to schedule a screening).

**UPDATE**Good morning patients! Our parking lot is still very slick with the cold temperatures. We will delay opening to 10am If your appointment is prior to 10am a staff member will be reaching out. Please use caution when coming for any appointments today as the ice melt is trying to work but there are still slick spots. We welcome you to use the drop off canopy area to let your kiddos inside with our front desk while you park. Please use extreme caution in the parking lot.
