Dr. Ramesh R. Shah, a second generation ophthalmologist, opened his practice in Joplin, MO in 1986. He was the first and only fellowship-trained retina specialist in Joplin for more than 30 years, until his daughter, Dr. Heeral Shah, joined him. His deep-rooted belief that patients deserve the highest quality of care using leading edge technology has led him to take care of generations of families over the years.
His practice boasts the most up-to-date treatment options, with the only glaucoma laser in the area, as well as the only practice to offer IStent surgery for glaucoma. Furthermore, the practice is the only comprehensive retina group in the area.
