There are many different ways to get to a place of loving yourself. and through those ways you can find peace and a really open heart, where you feel safe to have that open heart, which can be difficult for those that have been hurt. I have absolutely known this to be true! When someone instantly leaves your life, there are many emotions that occur. There is shock and sadness at first. And then if it is a person that really didn't align with you and wasn't good for you you will feel a moment of relief. Pay attention and notice that relief. Because then you know that somebody has been moved away from you for your own good and is therefore making space for someone that aligns with you to step in. After this relief you may feel more negative emotions such as anger and confusion and more sadness. But hold on to that feeling of relief and really pay attention to it. And then be welcoming for what it has made space for it to enter your life. Gratitude always has a place!

I'm currently reading "Welcoming the Unwelcome" by Pema Chodron. Do you know that it took this Buddhist monk 80 years to figure out how to become excited and happy and move forward when faced with very disheartening things in life? As you go through life and you have upsets and disheartening things occur, don't be so hard on yourself! When you make mistakes, you're learning - don't be so hard on yourself! I recently made a mistake with one word in a post and was threatened with violence and other things. It took a day or two to really get past it after some help of perspectives from others. Yes I am a spiritual guide. And that doesn't mean that I'm bad. It took a Buddhist monk 80 years to learn! We're all learning as we go through life until the end of the life's journey. So don't be so hard on yourself! Tune in to the wisdom inside your soul. Allow yourself to feel the feelings. Allow the process to happen as it needs to. Ask others for perspective if you need it. It often helps a great deal. And then move forward with joy that life continues to go on offering you more moments to learn from and grow from and take joy in.
